First impression of Bergamot Mint: 

I’ve always been a big fan of White Barn candles so any time Bath & Body Works has a new scent available, I usually purchase one to review. Bergamot Mint sounded right up my alley. Bergamot is such a fresh scent and usually anything blended with mint adds a soothing vibe to it. I couldn’t wait to see if this candle would be the same.

Here is the scent description I pulled from the bottom of the candle:

Sparkling Italian bergamot, crisp eucalyptus, mint leaves.

Simple but accurate. First impression, I smelled pretty much all three elements with both bergamot and mint blended equally. It smelled smooth and just as I hoped… soothing. I was excited to light the wicks and get started.

I lit this candle in my master bedroom, my favorite room to review all Bath & Body Works candles in. It’s a large room and gives me a good idea on the strength of a candle, meaning… if it can fill that big of a room with scent, it’s a keeper!! Once the wicks were lit, it took a good 15 minutes to reach a melt pool and from then on out… my bedroom was filled with a subtle aroma of a fresh and soothing bergamot which is exactly what I was hoping for. I didn’t really smell mint in the air, nor was the air crisp like a lot of mint scents can take on. To me, the mint blended with bergamot really toned both elements down creating a soothing kind of scent instead. It was different.

Strength – I would rate this candle between a 6 and 7 out of 10 in a large room. It wasn’t super strong but gave a more subtle scent throw. It’ll be much stronger in a medium to smaller rooms.

How did my candle burn?

This candle burned great. No wick issues. (Thank goodness) and it burned clean and even from start to finish.

Closing to my review: 

Bergamot Mint was an interesting scent and I enjoyed it. Not sure enough to purchase it again but only because I have to really love a fragrance to go back for more. 

If you love fresh and soothing kind of scents that are more on the subtle side, check out this scent next time you’re near a Bath & Body Works store. You may fall in love. If you do, let us know.
