First Impression of Banana Bundt Cake:
I’m normally not a fan of banana fragrances but I may have to change my mind with this one just based off cold sniff. Banana Bundt Cake smelled super sweet and delicious. When I popped off the lid, the most buttery banana pudding aroma wafted all around me. I know this fragrance is supposed to be cake but I swear I smelled sweet bananas loaded with buttery cream. YUM!!

Sweet banana, toasted walnut, fresh cinnamon.
Cinnamon? I would have never guessed cinnamon was in this fragrance. I couldn’t smell a lick of spice when I smelled the wax. Toasted walnut, yes but just teeny hints. To me, this fragrance was all banana and cream loaded with sugar. It was almost too sweet but when has that stopped me? As a bakery lover, the sweeter, the better I always say.
I lit Banana Bundt Cake in my master bedroom and about an hour later, I ended up moving it to a medium size room. I wanted maximum scent throw with this one and a medium size room did the trick… and then some. Boy was I wrong about the cinnamon. Once burning, the spice really comes to life and pretty much dominates this fragrance. My entire guest bedroom smelled like a spice cake with hints of banana. It reversed on me. All that sugary sweetness I smelled on cold sniff went away and quite honestly, I wasn’t sure how I felt about that. That sugary banana pudding I initially smelled – gone! I was so stumped with this one, I decided I needed a second opinion and asked my husband what he thought. Did he smell banana pudding or even just banana? Did he like it? He said he didn’t smell any banana and he had his nose right up to the candle, his hand waving the air around him to get a good sniff. He agreed it was bakery but he couldn’t tell you what.
Strength – I would rate Banana Bundt Cake a 7/8 out of 10 in a really large room. 10 in medium to smaller rooms. This candle gave a decent scent throw.
How Did My Banana Bundt Cake Candle Burn?
This candle burned perfect. Zero wick issues. Clean burning from beginning to end.
Closing To My Review:
Even though I wasn’t a huge fan of Banana Bundt Cake, I still do recommend it to all those who love spicy bakery scents. The fragrance did match the scent description. For me, it just needed a lot more sweetness. It was just too spicy against the banana and a weird combo for me. That’s a personal preference though. You may try this one and absolutely love it.
