Intro To My Aromatherapy Soy Candle Review
I’m back with another great candle from Aubert & Amandine. I had such a positive experience with their Comfort (Cinnamon Apple) candle, that I was looking forward to trying this particular scent – Joy (Ylang Ylang Mandarin). I’ve been noticing the explosion of aromatherapy candles on the market, and its hard to find a really good one. Aubert & Amandine knocked it out of the park with Comfort, so I had high hopes for Joy.
First Impressions of My Aromatherapy Soy Candle
This candle was dressed for the holidays. It was in a gorgeous, black gift box that would look awesome sitting directly under the Christmas tree. Inside was a heavy, black container with a high quality wooden lid. The branding was evident on the candle but not overdone – it was all very elegant looking. This was another 3-wick candle with off-white wax typical of pure soy.
I took the lid off and took a quick whiff. Ahhhh! It was wonderful! I could smell a bright, citrusy note and soft, sweet florals. I just couldn’t get enough! Looking to the website for a scent description, I found:

Given the strong scent throw with my Comfort candle, I decided to light this aromatherapy soy candle in a large, open living space. I lit the candle and was soon greeted by this lovely, lilting floral scent that had me walking on air. The floral became more noticeable was this candle burned – soft, powdery, and a little sweet. The citrus notes were bright and even – they kept this scent well-balanced, and not too heavy on the floral side. This was a softer scent but it had an excellent scent throw – I could smell the beauty of it all throughout the space it was in and on down the hallway. Once I snuffed the candle for the day, I could still smell it as it sat open on the counter. Lovely!
How Did My Aromatherapy Soy Candle Burn?
Flawlessly. With the three wicks, I got a full wax melt pool in under 30 minutes. The melt pool was shallow but even. The wicks were easy to maintain – just the normal trimming in between burns. I never noticed any black sooting. The candle burned all the way down without any wasted wax. It burned easily for 50+ hours, making this candle a good value. What;s even more, I have been able to repurpose the beautiful candle vessel – it’s just too stately to throw it out!
Closing To My Aromatherapy Soy Candle Review
This particular candle was another winner from Aubert & Amandine. It’s amazing! Bright, floral, and slightly sweet. It is a relaxing scent without being too in-your-face. If you’re looking for a candle scent that is bright and relaxing but will not overpower you, this is a great candle to try. I’m certainly impressed and can’t wait to try more from this brand.
