What did my candle smell like?

I admit, Apricot Rose Water was an impulse purchase for me. Anything that has “rose” in the scent name, I avoid like no tomorrow. But, I took a chance and popped off the lid anyway out of curiosity – and was pleasantly surprised by the fragrance. Yes, I smelled hints of rose but I also smelled sweet apricot and that’s what ultimately sold me.

Here is the scent description for this fragrance:

A refreshing fragrance that delights the senses as sun drenched apricot, nectarine blossom and pink grapefruit become enlivened with rosewater, gardenia petals and white peach. White musk, vanilla and creamy sandalwood gives it a smooth finish.

That’s a pretty great scent description and if all of the above is in this scent, I’ll be happy. To me, the wax smelled like apricots and rose. That be it. But, time will tell once this candle is burning.

Time to find out!

I lit this candle in a small bathroom to test out and oh my gosh, within 15 minutes of lighting it, the scent saturated the room. It was so strong, I ended up moving it to a medium sized room where it stayed till the end. This candle completely surprised me with how strong it was. The aroma… it smelled exactly as it did cold… a sweet apricot with soft rose. Very different and really pretty. I wasn’t caring for the rose component but I could still appreciate how lovely the fragrance was overall. So if you love Rose scents, Apricot Rose Water is a must try!!

Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 10 in a small room. 7/8 in a medium room and maybe a 5/6 in a large room. This strength of this candle was pretty awesome!!

candle-flameHow did my candle burn?

This candle turned great. No issues. Clean burning from start to finish.

Closing to my review:

Wow! What a candle this turned out to be. The only other information I could add to this review – I really never detected all the other notes listed in the description – at all and I would have liked that. To me, this scent was solid apricot and rose. And boy was it strong!!Great candle thumbs up girl

In closing, if you love floral scents and happen to be at Walmart, go check Apricot Rose Water out…. I bet you’ll walk away with one and you better hurry if you do… it’s a limited addition scent so it won’t be around much longer.

Happy candle hunting!
