Apple Melon Hanna’s at Home Candle Review

First impression of Apple Melon:
Apple Melon from Hanna’s was a scent I couldn’t wait to try this summer. I love both apple and melon separately… add them both together and it sounded too unique to pass up. The moment I smelled the wax…. Mmmm!!!! Sweet and tart melon wafted all around my nose and it was super refreshing. The apple wasn’t as noticeable against the melon but maybe that element will come out once the candle was burning.

Before I go into the scent, I first want to mention how cute this candle was. The candle itself was a TimberWick which is Hanna’s version of a Wood Wick. This vessel was pear shaped, the wax a bright green with a simple and small label on the glass that could easily be peeled off if you prefer your candle to be bare of any labeling.
Have I mentioned how much I love wood wicks? I love the crackle and pop sound effects from this type of wick so this was an added bonus for me. I was excited to get started.
Here is the scent description for Apple Melon:
Dewy Cantaloupe, green apple, cucumber, muguet, freesia, and white musk.
Hmm? Dewy cantaloupe – check! Green apple – maybe. The rest in the description, my nose couldn’t detect at all. All I could smell was sweet melon with a hint of sugary tartness.
I lit this candle in a small bathroom to start out where it stayed till the very end. I wanted maximum scent throw and definitely achieved that in a small room. The wick lit right up and it didn’t take long to reach a full melt pool. From then on out… a tart and tangy melon scent filled my bathroom with aroma. I still had a hard time detecting green apple and I was okay with that. What I did smell was pretty awesome. A candied melon that reminded me of jolly rancher candies. I loved it!!
Strength – I would rate this candle a 10 in a really small room. 7 or less in a medium room. Large? Burn two candles at once to get a decent fragrance.
How did my candle burn?
This candle burned perfect. No wick issue. Clean burning from beginning to end.
Closing to my review:
I loved Apple Melon and will for sure purchase this fragrance again. I’m also going to see if this scent is available in melt form next time. Melts are
generally much stronger and that’s what I want with this scent… a power house in my great room. Can’t wait!!
