We’re back with another detailed candle review, this time for Tektonic Candles’ Apple Cinnamon candle. We were so impressed with Glacier Peak that we gave it our Editor’s Choice badge of honor. Would Apple Cinnamon live up to its predecessor? Time to find out!

First Impressions of My Candle
This was an 8oz travel tin candle, which was perfect because I was yet again on the go. The tin had the scent and company label clearly on the front. The wax was a maroonish red and there was a single, well-centered wick. I could still tell this was soy wax by the typical mottling appearance of the wax.
Cold sniff? So. Good. It smelled mostly of the sweet apple with just enough cinnamon to make it more interesting and warm. Looking to the website for the scent description:

I lit this candle in a small bathroom and waited for it to do its magic. This candle had a slow burn, but I did eventually get a full wax melt pool. The deep red melted wax was so pretty!
As far as the scent goes, I smelled plenty of the juicy apple, which I find as a relatively strong scent to begin with. There was a warmth to the scent with the added layer of the sweet, spicy cinnamon. The cinnamon was there just enough to keep this from being a one-dimensional scent. It was cozy and comforting, perfect for the fall weather.
I was surprised by how much scent this little tin put out! I could definitely smell it in the bathroom, but I also smelled it on out into the bedroom when I kept the bathroom door open. It made the entire space feel like fall!

How Did My Candle Perform?
I had a nice clean burn with this candle. Full wax melt pool with no wasted wax on the sides. I didn’t notice any black sooting.

Ok this was yet another great candle from Tektonic Candles. Color us impressed. This was a simple scent combination but it was done well. And I couldn’t believe how much throw I was getting out of this little gem! For clean burning soy candles that scent up the place, we’re thinking Tektonic may be one of our new found go-tos.
