Vanilla Latte Febreze Candle Review
By Christina Rylan
Brand: Febreze
Type: 5.5oz candle
Fragrance: Vanilla Latte
Scent Strength: Very light
What did my candle smell like?
Vanilla Latte from Frebreze smelled pretty darn good on cold sniff so of course I had to purchase one to review. The wax smelled like a creamy vanilla with subtle hints of coffee.
I purchased this candle at my local Walmart and searched for a scent description online but couldn’t find one so I’ll do my best to describe this scent for you. As I said above, the wax smelled pretty good. Creamy vanilla with hints of coffee… hoping it’s even stronger once burning.
Time to find out!
Because this candle was small, I stuck to a really small bathroom to burn it in and that’s where I left it from beginning to end. This candle was definitely suited to a very small room. Once lit, it took a good hour to really start noticing the aroma and once I did, I came back to a lightly scented aroma of vanilla with no real trace of coffee. And as far as vanilla scents go… it really wasn’t that great. I almost want to say it smelled a little synthetic. Total bummer!!
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 1 in a really small room and I mean super tiny power room. It was very lightly scented. Totally bummed with this candle overall.
This candle burned fairly well. It did take a long time for the candle to reach a full melt pool at first but once it did, it was smooth sailing from then on out. No wick issues. Clean and even burn.
Closing to my review:
This candle was a bust for me. It was inexpensive and easy to find so that’s a plus but it basically had zero scent throw and the aroma didn’t smell like I thought it would. I’ve had such great experiences with other Febreze candles so I was clearly disappointed with this one. Guess we can’t have it all.
I have more Febreze candles to review so stay tuned.
Happy candle hunting!

I find that the febreze candles and the wax tarts are not that great. But that’s just my opinion though.
I agree. I have found a few though that were actually pretty good in small rooms. Their Home collection ones.
