"My son helped me pick out a few Yankee votives at the sidewalk sale at our mall this weekend. The first one we chose to burn was the Spiced Pear. It is a pale greenish yellow with a delightful fragrance. It has freshness to its aroma that I believe comes from the pears. But it was the spicy component that sold me the candle.

The smell of the spice reminds me of simmering cider. It calls to mind allspice and cloves simmering on the stove. I really enjoyed this fragrance, and Yankee always provides a good quality candle. The only thing I would change is to put more of the fragrance in it, as that my preference runs to heavily fragranced candles. Of course, I can solve this problem myself by burning one in the kitchen and a second in the living room."
