The description of Hot Cinnamon Bun is what convinced me to try this scent.  Here's their description: "œImagine opening an oven filled with freshly baked hot cinnamon buns dripping with icing." Sounds good, doesn't it?

I chose Vanilla Incantation after learning that it's their #1 bestselling scent and that people who don't even like vanilla love it.  I like the smell of vanilla, so I couldn't wait to see what was so special about their version.

Once my candles were delivered, I was pretty happy with the way they looked. I decided to try Hot Cinnamon Bun in one of their 10 oz. frosted jar candles.  I really liked the frosted look of the jar. (check out the photo to the left) My candle had a white and gold label on the front of the jar. I didn't really care for the label, but I figured as long as the candle smelled good, that's all that matters.  The wax was muted brown.

For Vanilla Incantation, I decided to by a 6 pack of their soy votives. The packaging for the votives was really unique. They came in a clear vertical tube and were stacked on top of each other. Even before I took the top off of the tube, I could smell that I was in for a wonderful scent experience. The votives seemed kind of soft and a little chalky compared to Yankee votives and other votives I tried in the past...I think it must have been because of the soy wax. I think soy is known to be softer than paraffin wax.

Hot Cinnamon Bun:

OH MY GOODNESS!  I can honestly say this Hot Cinnamon Bun is one of my all time favorite candle scents. The smell of cinnamon stood out at first, but then in about a half hour this wonderful smell of butter and icing kicked in. I was in "nose heaven!" I seriously considered going out and buying ooey, gooey, buttery cinnamon buns just so I could satisfy my craving for them. This scent smelled SO real and completely filled my family room. If someone walked into my house that evening, I'm sure they would have thought I was baking cinnamon buns in the oven.

The first night I burned this candle, I had it lit for a hew hours and then blew it out and went to bed. The next morning, I had totally forgotten about my candle and was just thinking of things I had to get done during the day. When I made it halfway downstairs for the first time, I was pleasantly overwhelmed by my Hot Cinnamon Bun scent from the previous night! The candle hadn't been lit for about 10 hours and the whole first level of my house smelled unbelievable. I couldn't believe I was getting this wonderful left over scent.

My candle burned very clean with no noticeable smoke and left no soot residue on the inside of the jar. The wax completely liquified, so a center tunnel didn't form, which was nice. (Remember to avoid a tunnel...each time you burn your candle, allow enough time for the wax to melt all the way to the edges of the jar.) Also, everytime I burned the candle, the strength of the scent was very consistent. My Hot Cinnamon Bun candle lasted me a long time as well.

Vanilla Incantation:

I am in love with this scent! When I lit one of the votives, this magical strong vanilla scent poured into my family room after the candle had been burning for several minutes. Vanilla Incantation is such a pure, warm, down home, vanilla. The scent has great depth and is so comforting to me.

To get a better feel for this scent, think of the most delicious vanilla buttercream icing you've ever had. That's what Vanilla Incantation smells like to me. My sister had a beautiful wedding cake years ago that was finished with a "to-die-for" cream colored vanilla icing that was not too sweet, but just right. This scent reminds me of how much I enjoyed that icing.

Vanilla Incantation also reminds me of when my grandmother, Nan, used to make her famous vanilla cornstarch pudding - a family favorite. It was so good that my sisters and I used to beg her to make it. Nan's pudding had the best savory vanilla flavor I have EVER tasted in my entire life. When I took a big whiff of my Vanilla Incantation scented votives for the first time, I was so thrilled to realize that it smelled just like Nan's heavenly pudding. Anytime I feel like reminiscing, I'm going to burn this scent.

If you want your home to smell warm, inviting and oh so comforting, you have to try a Vanilla Incantation candle from Candles of Eden. You won't be dissapointed...I gaurantee.
