 Introduction to My Review...
I've been so excited about this review... I feel like Candy Corn is the perfect scent to try for Halloween! If you're a regular reader of CandleFind, you probably know already that I like candles from Candles of Eden. I ordered a few of their scents a couple months ago for upcoming holiday reviews and just couldn't resist trying Candy Corn. I've never seen this scent before in a candle. I couldn't wait to see how close it came to the real yummy candy corns I used to get as a little trick or treater.
Also on a side note...some of you may remember Candles of Eden did have some shipping issues earlier this year, but they are back on track now and better than ever. I've been talking to some customers from Candles of Eden lately and am happy to announce that everyone is receiving their orders much quicker than before...including me!

 I ordered this scent in one of their silver 8oz. candle tins. The lid has a gold and white label on it, which I'm not crazy about, but who cares! I just put the lid aside in a drawer and enjoyed the look of the plain silver tin while my candle was lit. The color of the wax is a nice halloween orange, just like the darkest stripe on a candy corn.
For some reason, candles in tins are one of my favorite types of candles. They're the perfect size for me and I like the slick look and portability of them. Another name for candle tins is "travel candles." Well, I put this travel candle to the test. I took it over to my Mom's house one night to burn it over there. It was so cool...I just threw it right in my bag before I left.

 I really like this scent. To me, it's a dead-on replica of Candy Corn. It's hard for me to really pinpoint what this scent smells like other than saying it smells just like the candy, but I'll try... It has a cooked sugar and corn syrupy smell that makes me feel cozy and oh-so Halloween-ie! There's a really nice warmth and depth to this savory scent. It's definitely not sickening sweet to me though...it's rich and delicious to my nose. :-) When I was burning Candy Corn, it felt very comforting...it reminded me of all the fun Halloween nights I had growing up trick-or-treating. I think from now on, I'll burn this scent every Halloween. It just seems like the perfect scent to burn this time of year since Halloween and sugar go hand in hand.
One strange thing happened with this candle that I want you to be aware of. I took the candle to my mother's house and had it burning on the table while my mom and sister and I were playing scrabble. The candle was right next to us, but they said they couldn't smell the Candy Corn at all. When I asked them to elaborate, they said they could tell their was a candle burning when they took a whiff, but they couldn't pick up the Candy Corn scent.
I couldn't believe my mom and sister couldn't smell this yummy scent because I could! Maybe since I'm so used to burning all types of scented candles, I'm more in tune with pinpointing a scent compared to other people...who knows. My mother's windows were also open right by the table where we were sitting with the candle, so this might explain why they couldn't smell it. There could have been a draft that was wafting the smell away from them. That must have been what happened because I was burning this candle in my house the other day while my mother and sister were over and guess what? They could smell it and really enjoyed it! If you try this candle, you'll smell it...just remember to keep the windows closed.
 I think in terms of scent strength, I would classify this scent as medium. Considering the small container size of my candle, I think a medium scent throw is pretty good. I have the feeling if you ordered Candy Corn in a larger jar from Candles of Eden, the throw might be stronger. I think I'm starting to realize that the larger the container, the bigger the scent throw. (Don't take this to heart though because it's just a theory of mine.) Anyway, I first burned this candle in my larger family room. It didn't totally knock my socks off like some of my scented candles do, but it seemed to fill most of the room with it's warming scent. When I had the candle lit and took my dog outside for a minute and came back in, I was welcomed each time by the rich, delicious smell of Candy Corns.

 I'm really impressed with my Candy Corn scented candle from Candles of Eden. I highly recommend it to anyone who loves Candy Corns or just loves the smell of warm, comforting sugar. Remember...it's not sickening sweet at all...it's rich and delicious. If you like scents that totally knock your socks off, I suggest you order this scent in a large jar from Candles of Eden. If you like medium scents that aren't too mild, but are still powerful enough to enjoy, give my 6oz. candle tin a try.
To sum up, I think this is the perfect scented candle to help bring the spirit of Halloween into your home. The smell just says Halloween to me. Just be warned...when you burn it, you might crave lots of sugary treats! :-) If that happens, the most important thing is to have fun...just don't forget to brush. (he he)
