First impression of Habanero Mango Salsa:
Habanero Mango Salsa is a limited addition scent from Better Homes and Gardens and it smells pretty darn good. I decided to review the melts and not the candle since melts tend to give a better scent throw and I was after strength with this one. It is available in candle form if that interests you.
Here is the scent description for Habanero Mango Salsa:
Elevate your senses with this sweet, spicy blend of mango salsa and habanero peppers. Mandarin, juicy orange and cinnamon lead add further zest while sugared starfruit and vanilla beans provide balance.
Interesting description. For me upon first sniff, I detected sweet mango, mandarin and starfruit with maybe hints of vanilla the most. I didn’t detect *any* spice to this aroma. Not an ounce. To me… it’s a sweet and succulent fruit salsa. Sweet and sugary. I liked it just based of cold sniff.
Time to get melting!
I used then entire clamshell pack in two electric melters in my great room (3 cubes each.) Once melting, it took about 15 minutes or so before the scent started drifting through the room and once it did…. a sweet and fruity aroma filled my living space. I can’t tell you exactly what fruity scents my nose picked up on but it was sweet and refreshing… my guess would be mango and starfruit the most. Up close with my nose directly to the melted wax, I could smell a teeny hint of spice but I couldn’t smell any spice flowing through the room. I hope that makes sense. I think this is a scent you’ll have to experience yourself to see what I mean.
Strength – I would rate these melts a 7 out of 10 in a really large room. 10 in medium to smaller rooms. So all in all, pretty decent scent throw.
Habanero Mango Salsa is available at Walmart in both candle and melt form so check it out next time you’re in a store. You may walk away with a few.
