I've been unemployed as an administrative assistant since April 2010 and home taking care of my Mom who is on dialysis 3x a week so driving her there and also taking her to physical therapy 2x a week in the last couple of months. I have plenty to do at home and don't know how I could work full time and still taking care of things at home. My Dad is still in pretty good health and he was helping me pick her up from dialysis facility while I was working. I would drive her there early in the morning and then go to work. I'm still looking for work but there is nothing out there. Every week I'm required to report on three places I've applied to till the end of the year when my last tier of unemployment will end. I've worked in biomedical major companies, The TJX Corporate headquarters, GTE Corp. for 10 years, doctor's office practice etc. so I have tons of experience. My last job was as a corporate temp for Boston Scientific which I really enjoyed.

Anyway, I really have overindulged in bath and body and makeup and all things beauty. I love facial sheet masks and have a ton. I got a lot of sampler boxes - out of the box sampler, sampler village, etc. but you can only have so much stuff and have even brought some of the lovlies to a flea market but we didn't get a lot of people that day. What gets me the most is that people will go to expensive stores and purchase but they won't buy from you. I have had my Mom bring some really beautiful handmade soaps from Starlet and Juliet to the employees to see if anyone would like to purchase for Christmas giftys. Nope - no interest.???? I guess they are not B&B fiends like we all are on here. Even the gals in my dentist's office and my dentist love perfume and I've brought tons of stuff in for show and tell lunch hour that they invite me to and ask me to bring things but no one offers to purchase anything.

Soooo, here's the deal: I'm going on no-buy except for the following memberships that I belong to for 2012:

Birchbox (a monthly sampler high-end product box)

My makeup stash is all neatly organized in four Stanton carts and I really don't need to order anything.

So no more lemmings for me! I'm committed for 2012!!!

You can do it! When I am trying to use up my bath and body collection, I try to organize it by type and scent. When I see that I have four vanilla foody body butters, or three minty scrubs, it is easier to pass up an etailer's sale.
