Bought two 22oz. jars of Red Apple Wreath today and as I was putting one in the cabinet it dropped on the kitchen floor and the top of the jar (not the cover) shattered, leaving maybe the top 1/5th of the wax exposed. At first I was like:

But then I was like

because I had another nearly empty 22oz. candle jar...so I fired up my oven to 190 degrees and stuck both jars on a pan (the broken one in a makeshift aluminum foil barrier) and about 30 minutes later once the wax was melted, just poured the wax from the broken jar and the foil plate into the old jar then scraped the wick from the bottom and dropped it in, grabbing the tip with tongs and resting it so it was centered at the top until cooled.

Haha thanks everyone :)

To other Yankee candle fans...where do you buy yours? I got mine at one of the big box stores and they're super expensive there...more than $20 for the 22oz. jar o.O

Yankee products are very hard to find in Australia and a 22oz is typically $50 even online, so I've only ever bought them once. An Aussie overstock site was asking $140 for 6 random large tumblers (though at least shipping was only $7!) So that was a good deal for me.

Ouch Sophie! Glad you found a deal for you. I would seriously freak out if I didn't have my coupons for YC on a regular basis, let alone paying $50 for one.

Awesome candle save! But don't ever pay 20 bucks for a Yankee! I'm assuming you don't have a YC store in your area? If so, use a coupon every time (there is always one out) and shop the frequent sales and you never have to pay retail, or almost retail again! If you don't have a YC store, you can shop at their online site and still get the same deals and use coupons.
