My Black Friday Cocoa Pink order arrived ! [smilie=th_smiley_emoticons_hurr

I had bought the Holiday Candy Set. Even though I am not hugely into mint scents, there were only two scents with mint in them, and they are very nice. Fans of B&BW's Twisted Peppermint would love these mints. My favorites of the set are the coco mango body butter in Strawberry Ribbon Candy (this is a fun, candylike strawberry), the Soft Bubbles Scrub in Chocolate Dipped Ribbon Candy (if you like good chocolate scents, this is a winner. The chocolate is as nice as Moona's chocolate, and I do not give this compliment lightly), and the Ends w/ Benefits in Sugar Coated Gum Drops ( great fruity scent. Reminds me quite a bit of Agave Lime Stiletto).

The set itself did not come in its own gift box, which is what I was expecting.

I love the dry oil sprays- the scents are strong enough where I won't need a perfume to layer on top. Finally got Sun Kissed Clouds in this...orange marshmallow yumminess. Strawberry Bubblegum is delicious too...This will satisfy my inner child who has been lemming bubblegum bath and body! [smilie=snoopy] [smilie=cloud_9]
Linen Mists are very nice and can be used on furniture, clothing, or your body. I love the Black Forest scent in the linen mist. Such a perfect blending of CP's black (amber) and the nicest woodsy notes.
Cranberry Citrus Sorbet is pure genius. The description of the scent is:
Deep crimson cranberries, chilled citrus essence topped with sugared pralines and rounded out by sugary vanilla bean noel
I anticipated this scent the most and it doesn't disappoint. I smell every single note in this scent. It is perfect. I think I need the body butter in this, too.

Violet Pixie Dust is outstanding, too. Got this in the coco mango body butter to go with all of my Candied Violets products from Moona. It's a sweeter violet than Moona's, but I am not surprise based on the description. Gorgeous scent !

I haven't tested any of my 5 ml perfume misters yet. I chose a large perfume in White Sugar, and this is da bomb! [smilie=th_allah] Lots of samples with this order...Figgy Pudding, Cozy Cabin in the Woods-both in shower butter samples. Perfume samples in some other requested scents.

Overall, a terrific order! [smilie=th_WE1summer013]

My order from Haunt came which consisted of Skin Glossing Oils in Claw and Cobblestone, Old Cider Mill and Cloak. Bar soaps scented in Burying Tree, Black Mint Tea, and Winchester. Erin also included a really cool lavender and cocoa powdered bath spell kit..very intriguing.

I know it's hard to tell much about the soap scents until you use them, but what do you think about the scents in the glossing oils? A bath spell kit ? What is that? Are there directions for use, or is this just a powdered bath additive with a funky name?

Those orders sound awesome ladies. Do ya mind if I am living vicariously through you? Lol
The only order I have had recently came from Candledippers, and it is a restocking biggie. I haven't ordered in so long, and need to order a bunch more- my cupboard is looking bare!

I got scrubs in 5 or 6 differnet flavors, matching body mousse and body sprays for all. A bunch of tarts too. She was very generous with freebies too.

Cat, my old buddy, I remember when you sent me some lovely things from Candledippers when my Dad was ill. I'm glad you're still enjoying this company. I haven't ordered from them in a long time. Garden of Eden is still my favorite scent and I will need replenishments for the spring!

I think the glossing oils will be nice scents. I have just dabbed a little on my wrist so far. The spell kit has a card inside that reads
Spell Kit
For the
Banishment of Stress
Prepare a cauldron of warm water (draw a bath)
combine magical powder (cocoa powder, coconut milk, tapioca start, lavender Kashmir oil)
crystallized mermaid's tears(sea salt)
Sprinkle into cauldron Add one petrified bat(I think it's a little chocolate bat)
This is wrapped in cheese cloth and in a beautiful vintage looking tin with a naked chick and bats on the top..

I can't wait to try this one...

Oooh, the Spell Kit sounds fantastic. The label really has a naked lady on it ? [smilie=th_OMG] Those vintage tins are so special. I still have my Golden Pumpkin one from last year.

Received my orders from Cleanse Your Soul on Saturday and Ariel's Secret Garden (artfire) today! Here my initial scent reviews and some product reviews
CYS
Apricot Angel Cake body mist-this is very similar to Apricot Praline Cake (APC) except a bit lighter, I think prefer APC because it is a strong scent and great for the colder weather.

Bikini Beach
body mist, "Lemon, lime and grapefruit combined with very subtle tropical floral notes, vanilla and musk"-when I smell this it smells like fruit loops cereal without the milk note NO JOKE lol! I like it but I was expecting it to be more of a tropical floral scent. I like to use this scent in the summer for a scrub too!

Jolly Happy Soul
-AMAZING the perfect blend of vanilla bean noel and candy cane, got this in a scrub and a lotion and wish I got it in a body mist, it just so creamy and pepperminty which is how I like my peppermint scents, creamy and sweet!!

Joyful and Triumphant
-this does smell just like a blend of eggnog with vanilla frosted sugar cookies, bought it in a scrub and body mist, and love how strong it is. This is my second favorite eggnog scent I've tried besides Jojoelle's Creamy Eggnog Fluff!!

Lavender Vanilla Wafer-
OOH this is so pretty, it is like a sweet lavender scent blended with a vanilla wafer, I love in a lotion and it is now my bedtime lotion or when I just want a lotion to put on for a pick me up because of the lavender in it. I am a big fan of their goat milk & honey creams I like how they are such a universal moisturizer and can be used all year round!

Rainforest Mist
body mist, "Notes of light florals, citrus and woods make for a refreshing wonderful scent"-this reminds me all of the notes except the blend reminds me of something I smell in fabric softner strips. The scent alone is too overpowering for me to wear on my skin but I think it might make a good bedroom closet spray.

Yuletide Treasure
in a scrub and body mist, "Grandma's fudge cookies on the stove: White Chocolate, Milk chocolate and lots of creamy vanilla sugar."-this is probably one of the best white chocolate scents I smelled! I noticed a lot of previous scents I tried in white chocolate smell funky to me but this smells like creamy white chocolate and milk chocolate mixed!

Sucre Rose
body mist, "This is one companies version of Pink Sugar...but it doesn't smell like Pink Sugar. But, it does smell fantastic, so I decided to add it. It's mellower than Pink Sugar, w/ out the musk. Delicious!"-I was hoping this smelled close to Love's Baby Soft Sugar Kiss (SK) which smells similar to pink sugar but it is a bit different it almost like has more of a cotton candy vibe to it mixed with a lighter pink sugar. Sucre Rose smells just like the description it is pretty and a nice scent but I like SK a little more Here's the scent description of SK it a soft “sweet” fragrance that has a playful blend of fragrance notes including: brown sugar, caramel accents, jasmine, sugar cane, and vanilla musk-I think it is the jasmine and brown sugar and vanilla musk that give it a different edge to it. The only scent I smelled close to it was Jojoelle's Sticky Sweet -Creamy marshmallow, warm caramel, and pink sugar. Ooey gooey sugary sweet!

She sent also two nice samples of her goat's milk cream in silver packets in VBN (which is one of my favorites!) and Hello Sugar! which I am looking forward to trying because does lemon scents really well!

Ariel's Secret Garden
Packaging was very cute! She had everything wrapped in Christmas tissue paper and a cute bell at the bottom of the bag and gave me a bunch of little samples in a non scented goat's milk lotion, a nag champa goat's milk lotion-this is so nice if you like incense type scents it is not too overpowering and a soft incense scent, I would for sure get this in a full size lotion!!, and a small scrub sample in Sweet Talker-Aquolina Blue Sugar type, this is one of my favorite dupes of this scent!! I am going to have to get this in a full size lotion too!!

Breakfast at Tiffanys soap bar, perfume oil, and Miss Bubbles Miracle Cream the scent description is "Maple, sweet spices, coconut, and vanilla accents on a crisp ozonic base of linen-to me this smells like a slightly more bakery version of blue sugar and a bit more feminine, LOVE it!! It also smells like a maple coconut pancake and has it dry downs it smells like a slight vanilla musk. The perfume smells the strongest in the scent. So happy with this scent here's a link to the soap bar it is on sale now! http://www.artfire.c...y/Soaps/Natural

Amish Friendship Bread in a perfume oil and Miss Bubbles Miracle Cream the scent description is "the aroma of fresh baked bread with notes of raisin, nut, and strawberries."-This is GORGEOUS, I love strawberry scents and this smells just like strawberry raisin nut bread!! The Miracle Cream is so hydrating on the hands, it is a bit greasy when you first apply it because since it is a "creamed lotion" but it is perfect for cold weather dry skin! I love how Sherri scents her products so strongly including the lotions I would layer this on my shoulders and arms with the perfume oil! She also sells regular goat's milk lotion and I might go back and get this in Amish Friendship Bread once I used the miracle cream up. I got the cream in a 5oz size and it is pretty thick so a little goes a long way and I will get a lot of good use out of it :)

Love your reviews, Alli ~
I need to try CYS' Apricot Praline Cake now. I have had praline lemmings lately . The other Christmas scents sound amazing. I was drooling when I first saw those scents pop up on her website but never got around to ordering. Still wanting a perfect eggnog scent, and the white chocolate one sounds delish !

Rainforest Mist sounds like it would be excellent in tarts, too. You'll have the nicest smelling closet ! Have you ever tried CYS' Linen Mist ?

Ariel's Secret Garden has the creamiest soaps. I wish I wasn't on a soap no-buy. I would like to try that thicker cream of hers....Love the name of it ! Is Miss Bubbles the name of one of her goats ?

Thanks Pam for all the nice comments :)
That's a great idea for Rainforest Mist in tarts, that would make the house smells so fresh and tropical!! I didn't know CYS sold linen mist, hmm might have to check that out in the future!

Miss Bubbles is the name of one of Sherri's goats, love the product matches the name of where the milk is coming from used for the body cream, after-all Miss Bubbles deserves some credit too LOL!!

I received my samples from Margo's Bath and Body. The package is full of oil ( I think from the salt scrubs?) but smells very nice. I don't know which of the scents I'm smelling, or if it is a mix of the two that she included. It reminds me a lot of Avon's Skin-So-Soft bath oil - very comforting, familiar scent. I'm going to rinse these off and give them a try.

Got my edp from Soltice Scents today..Lace Draped Spectre. I also got samples of Manor, Flintlock, Russian Caravan and Sweet Wood Patchouli. Has anyone ever ordered from Possetts? She sure has some interesting sounding scents. I am your Earthy, hippie want-a be girl, so if so suggestions are welcome.

From Solstice, I love Lace Draped Spectre and Manor ! Haven't tried Russina Caravan yet, but it's on my list. Have you tried Dragon's Blood, Spellbound Woods, and Vanilla & Sandalwood from Solstice ? LOVE !

I have never tried Possetts, but if you can get sample vials, go for it. I would be afraid to order full bottles of something just based on a description. Same goes for BPAL, which I have never tried because their website is too overwhelming.

You can check out the stuff from Arcana for earthy scents. The Soap Box Company is a good source to see what is currently available.

Today I received my first order from Mad City Sue on Etsy. I took advantage of her one day $5 sale on double butters and got Cotton Candy Twist and Candy Fluff. She sent me a little sample in Fresh Lemonade. Boy, these all smell and look wonderful! Can't wait to give 'em a try!

Sounds great, Gail. I have always wanted to try Cotton Candy Twist.

I need to place a MCS order soon, myself. Yesterday, a sweet friend sent me a swap box of b&b goodies and included was a decant of her MCS Hazelnut Marshmallow/Pizzelle scrub. I would never in a million years have ordered anything with Pizzelle.

I took one sniff of this combo and almost died....eyes rolled back in the head in ecstasy and everything. [smilie=th_slider_flirt] I need more of this ! I can get one scent in a body butter (probably the Hazelnut Marshmallow) and one in a body spray, in addition to the scrub.

Boogie, Cotton Candy Twist is sooo yummy! Yesterday I tried the Fresh Lemonade sample and got a bunch of compliments. Cool! [smilie=th_smiley_emoticons_hurr The double butter is wonderfully moisturizing.

Man oh man, you make me want to try the Hazelnut Marshmallow/Pizzelle. Sounds divine!

I can't wait to try more MCS goodies. I'm, well, ah, kinda hooked. [smilie=th_slider_flirt]

I took a look at what MCS has up right now, and saw the Pizzelle in a deep hair conditioner. Has anyone ever tried that product from MCS ?

I bet the Fresh Lemonade is perfect in a scrub or bath parfait. Lime Margarita is another very refreshing scent that I have had from Sue.

Got a small order from Creamery Creek soaps today. Kiss My Face keeps discontinuing the exfoliating bar soaps that DH likes (first Sport Complex, and now we fear that Rough Seas is discontinued as well), so I got him a Blueberry Scrub bar from CC. Never tried their soaps before, so I got a Red Clover Tea for me to try as well.

Both smell very nice, though a bit strong. I'm hoping the scent will fade by the time I'm out of the shower so it won't compete with the scent I want to wear through the day.

They were generous with the samples considering that our order was small. There were small slices of soaps in Chocolate Mint and Dragon's Blood, plus a small flower-shaped soap in Bulgarian Rose. None of the samples are really my thing, so they'll probably be re-homed. (Chocolate Mint - smells like mint and herbs, no chocolate; Dragon's Blood smells like Nag Champa incense...pretty smell, but too strong for me; Bulgarian Rose is ok, but I'm not a fan of rose scents.) Of the three, I'd be most likely to give Dragon's Blood a try, as I do like Nag Champa in incense form.

Most amazing thing was the shipping - got a CnS almost immediately after my order, placed on Friday night (2/24). Received my order today, 2/27! They're in Utah, and we're across the country in PA. Lightspeed TAT would be an understatement!

I'll post an update when we actually use the soaps. If I order from them again, I may have to get a lighter scent for myself. They do offer unscented, but my previous experience with unscented goat's milk soap (Canus brand) is that it smells like cooking lard...ick.
