I've always wanted to try these candles/melts, so I figured now would be a good time. They are a bit on the pricey side. I would have liked to try more but looking forward to these:

Jar candle - Sugar Cakes
Melts - Biscuits & Honey, Buttermilk Cupboard, Cornbread & Honey, Sweet Potato Biscuits

I just love these candles, just wished they had sales! I burn these candles a lot and they're great. I can smell them even when they're not burning. Their melts are powerful, too. I will usually try a scent in the melts first, then go for the candles. I just placed another order for some candles, but haven't received them yet. I think they're quick with their shipping, too.

There is a prim store not too far from me that sells these candles and melts. I'll stop by there this weekend for their spring open house(everything is between 10-20% off.) I'll probably end up buying some more candles!

cyn- I melted Biscuits & Honey and it was great. I'm not much into food scents, but I did like this one.

What a darling website! It just makes you feel all homey and comfy. :D I love the original scent names! How cool that they've taken some mainstream scents but given them names that put a mental image in your head, like Grandpa's Trees and From My Cellar. [smilie=th_i-m_so_happy]

The ones that draw me in the most are probably Basil & Berries and Perfect Morning. [smilie=th_smilies-2]

Fun!

My friend mailed me some melts from 1803 to try. They were quite good. I'm ready to jump in and order something.

ETA: Ouch. Posted Image I just saw the prices.

I absolutely adore the scent names and discriptions...particularly Barn Raising and Weathered Crow, but the prices of the melts are [smilie=th_yellow5] ...even so, I would love to order 2 or 3 melts, but with the flat rate shipping of $9.95...it would be too much. I really, really wanna try....I'm praying for a SALE!!!

MaggieMae-

I tried the Barn Raising in melts...it smells just like The Barn Company candle Cedar Wood Amber, if that helps you any. I emailed 1803 awhile ago asking if they ever had specials or sales and they said they didn't. WOW I wish they would change their minds.

Eeeeek! I'm so glad to see 1803 Candles in the spotlight! [smilie=th_ecd36868] I placed my first order from them last fall and was VERY pleased with them. :toppoints: I thought their melts were pricey then ($4.90), and am sad to see they're even higher now. [smilie=th_cray] But, if I was willing to pay $4.90 then, they're just 30 cents more now, so it's 'do-able'. Not much difference in paying $19.60 then and $20.80 for 4 clams now. Still, I wish they hadn't raised the price. [smilie=crap] I didn't get a candle, so don't know what the price difference on those is. Anyhooooo....I thought the clams were excellent, both in scent and throw. [smilie=th_00000020] I got clams in Chamomile Tea, Cabin on the Hill, Pumpkin Cornbread and Ginger Cupboard (the lightest scent 4 me). They all had some "prim fixin's" (spices, drieds, etc) on the top of the wax and since I'm into prim, they were right up my alley. I thought the shipping for 4 clams was high (I think $9 + change), so had decided on my next order I'd just order more, cuz adding more to the cart didn't make the shipping any higher. Ya'll like my logic? [smilie=th_foolish1] For anyone wanting to try good, strong scents and want to splurge a little (we all splurge on something), I'd highly recommend this company. They've recently added to their scent list, so I keep adding to my wish list. And one more thing on my wish list is a sale....can't hurt to wish (ask)...right? Yoooohoooo....1803 Candles...purdy please? [smilie=th_c032]

I have wanted to try this place forever, but am consistently stopped by the pricing...I wish they were more flexible.

Nice site! I also like the scent names and descriptions.

Wonder if there are any retailers nearby...if I did not have to pay shipping, the price would be OK! [smilie=th_pardon]

Well, looks like it's settled. We will have a small contest with this spotlight. How about a pack of melts and a linen spray?

Here's how to win: It appears these candles can be bought MANY places. I am thinking of one specific place. Name it and you win!

Most of all...Have fun!
