Prince William on thursday!! [smilie=th_WooHooRainbowWaveJack He and Catherine Middleton were on their first official engagement since they got engaged. William is based at a RAF station near me on Anglesey and he also lives there, the engagement was at a little seaside town on the island not far from where he lives so I HAD to go see them. He is so handsome in real life and she is just stunning! It was also lovely to see the way they interacted with one another, he was making sure she was ok as I would imagine it all being very daunting to her as her first official outing. I was really proud as well that she had learnt the Welsh National Anthem, and also sang along to another Welsh hymn.

How exciting to meet them in person. Were they christening a red inflatable life boat by chance? I saw that bit on the news about their first official outing. I might have seen the place where you were. How funny.

It's sweet of him to be looking after her like that. Being a Princess would be much harder than is portrayed in storybooks.

How exciting...I saw the same news clip. I think they are a good match and she is really a pretty, stylin' gal. I am sure that Diana would be proud of William's choice.

Hi MaggieMae, No I am not near Wolverhampton. I live about 3 or 4 hours from there, I live in Bangor, North Wales. You have to travel through Bangor to get to the Isle of Anglesey where William is based...look on Google Earth.
Nice to meet you MaggieMae xx

Just to add a little wax to the conversation, I noticed that YC has a special edition royal wedding Housewarmer jar candle out right now, celebrating the engagement and wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

I haven't smelled it yet, but I might wander on down to the store tomorrow to get a whiff. I think it's a floral blend.

Do you suppose it's the same scent as Wedding Day? I wonder. I've always like their Wedding Day scent.
