In addition to the goodie bags that are being offered for Candlefind shoppers who make a purchase during this sale, Can-Do-Candles is generously offering a special surprise package of goodies to one lucky person! Much thanks to Can-Do!

We will hold another contest this week to determine who that lucky person will be. I am thinking of three facts that are mentioned somewhere on the Can-Do-Candles website. The first person to mention one of the facts will win!

The contest will remain open until February 13 at 11:59PM CST. I won't be announcing the winner until February 14th. This will help build suspense and keep us all entertained. [smilie=th_Skratta_Bankabordet]

Good luck!

[smilie=th_smiley_emoticons_hurr yea yea for Can Do!!!

Donna has been a long time friend of mine, and I have been purchasing from her for years!! She is a friend cause we have been on boards together and I have been visiting her site for a long time..you could say I am a HUGE fan of Donna's!!

I have always been a lover of her Mimi's House, and grown to be a big fan of her Lavender scents, mostly the Lavender Silk, I am most recently adored by her Pink Sugar Cookies, OMG these are amazing!! Her Lisa's Lemon Bars will make you flip out drooling, seriously, they are delish!! And Pretty in Pink will scent your WHOLE house up..its wonderful!! Satsuma is a awesome summer scent but I try to stay stocked up on it ALWAYS..very very happy scent and my last huge RAVE of Sweet Orange and Chili Pepper is knock you out GOOD, I now need a BAG of it, its a MUST HAVE!!!

Recently I was gifted a bottle of her newest Cuticle Oil and its fabulous, I use it everyday and it works wonders for my icky hands that gets all dried out from lots of washing ( since I work with children ;)

Donna, has always impressed me with her incredible gift of packing a super neat box, from the bags she packs them in, to the extras she so graciously gifts, to the invoice she puts in with a sweet THANK YOU to the quick delivery she produces...she is a TOP 3 favorite of mine and I always love ordering from her!!

So happy to see Donna in the spot light..she surely deserves a HUGE shout out and much recognition for her fine abiliy to please!!

Ohhhh, how exciting! [smilie=th_dancing_smile] I adore Can-Do! [smilie=th_slider_flirt] Yes, the new website design is really stupendous and classy!

I ordered last year during her Valentine's sale and got some great love scents that I love. Am I being redundant? [smilie=th_tease-1]

What a cool contest! Let's have some more crazy fun, everyone! [smilie=th_31]

Thank you, Donna and Candlefind!

uppps....forgot to add that I have a fragrant stone and its incredible, love it alot!! I keep it right beside my bed and refresh it often to keep me tranquil...Lavender Silk is the scent I chose!! LOVE IT!!

And I have her tins too..they are wonderful for using on your HOT plate, I have several so I just put one on, melt it and when I need to change out a scent I just slide one tin off and let it cool and replace with another I have and keep the cycle going..they work PERFECTLY!!

What a super post, Cindy! Donna's in my top three also! So many fabulous scents. I'm in love with Mimi's House too, and Lessie's Coco Mint Frost, among others.

I remember someone mentioning how good her cuticle oil is. Thought it was you. Sounds so good. I need some.

I think several people use and really like her tart tins. I know I do. They're great. And the only product of hers that I've tried besides the tarts themselves.

I'm looking at the spray cologne for men. My DS would like that. But for me, I'd like to try the handmade glycerin soap. I noticed it for the first time while I was browsing her website late last night.

Love her whole explanation of shipping and how it works with the different sized flat rate USPS boxes. She even uses an example for shipping to CA, which is handy since it's where I live. She ships Priority Mail with delivery confirmation. Just the BEST!

Good luck with the contest, everyone. Looks like Cindy's in for the long haul. [smilie=th_Skratta_Bankabordet] Hope it's a barrel of laughs too! [smilie=th_FULL_O17]

I've driven through Oklahoma, but since I was on Route 66 I guess I was nowhere near Farmhouse Antiques Home of Can-Do-Candles 1191 HWY 70F
Kingston, OK 73439
Open Fri. & Sat. 10 am to 5 pm, Sun. 1 pm to 5 pm OR
Yesterday's Antiques 701 N. 1st St. Madill, OK 73446 580-795-7775

I guess that means I need to take a detour next time![smilie=th_shewiggle]

I like that she spells out the fact that "*You can use your credit card to make payment through PayPal, without having a PayPal account." I as well as taking checks and money orders. I don't use PayPal and this saves me from having to email and ask if PP is just her credit card processor, or if an account is required. It can go either way and a lot of times vendors just don't specify.

I also like how she tells you what scents are in your sampler if you order one:

Fresh From the Bakery Sample Sack (includes):
Amish Spice, Apple Pie, Aunt Brenda's Banana Nut Bread, Cinnamon Bun, Cinnamon Frosting, Cinnamon Spice, Crème Brulee, Grandma Lucy's Lemon Pound Cake, Mimi's House, Spiced Clove, Sugar Cookie and Very Vanilla

Country Fresh & Clean Sample Sack (includes):
Baby Powder, China Rain, Country Clothesline, Downy, Fresh Linen, Honeysuckle, Hydrangea, Wash Day, Lavender Silk, Ocean Mist, Pretty Woman and Sea Blossom.

Fresh From the Fruit Stand Sample Sack (includes):
Apple Cinnamon, Black Raspberry Vanilla, Citrus Zinger, Country Apple, Cucumber Melon, Fresh Peach, Pared Pears, Pomegranate, Strawberry, Mandarin Medley, Very Cherry and Watermelon.

Tropical Island Sample Sack (includes):
Banana Island, Beach Daisies, Cocoa Cabana Type, Coconut Milk & Lavender, Jamaica Me Crazy , Lessie's Paradise Island, Mary's Margaritas, Monkey Bubbles, Papaya Clafouti, Perfect Pineapple, Plumeria Milk and Salty Sea Air.

Which one is your fave? Just from looking at the scent descriptions, I'm torn between bakery and tropical.

Oh boy, this is already getting funny! [smilie=th_laughing]

Who wouldn't love the Simple Sachet? It's a plain 3x4 Muslin Drawstring bag filled with just one scent, Can-Do's special Downy scented mixture. I want to put one in every drawer for that fresh out of the dryer smell everyone loves! $1.75 each

And this caught my eye. I need these for my Corgi Mobile:
Car Keeper - Hang one in your car to keep 'er smellin' good! ~$2.95 ea. These come in a variety of scents: Apple Cinnamon, Baby Powder, Black Cherry, Cinnamon Spice, Cool Citrus Basil, Country Clothesline, Honeysuckle, Lavender, Pine, Plumeria, Seaside Memories, Spiced Clove. I'll take one of each! [smilie=yes]

Gail, just as transparent as she was on the LSC contest thread. [smilie=th_i-m_so_happy]

Oh - I love Can Do tarts and plan on making an order during the sale.

Of course I have MANY bakery scents that are either reorders, or that I am planning to order...however, can any of you lovely ladies recommend some that are not...I am not too into florals..more a nice, clean, fresh type of scent. I'm planning on ordering a LOT of tarts next week for the sale.

Thanks!

Cheryl

Another fan here! I had not seen the Can-Do Candles..."but...rather do tarts" before! Very clever! ^_^

And - Whoa! That is one colorful website now. I wonder how the car stones work. I am constantly disappointed in car scenters. Busy - do you really smell a lot from your "house" stone?

I also like those auto-shutoff warmers. I use one at work because I was constantly driving back to the office to see if I had shut the regular one off. I am sure it would have been fine, but I did not want to see the headlines scream "tart burner burns down hospital". :(

Hooray for the sale - I am thinking I need a sampler (drawstring bag, how cute is that?)so, I will be ordering!

My reorders are: Wind Chimes, Oklahoma Rain, Peppermint Spa ( if they are all still on the list!) [smilie=snoopy]

I'd like a wax fairy godmother to drop a gift certificate my way. Like the website says: Gift Certificates make a great gift. You can't get the wrong size or color!

And wow! She has a lot of relatives, unless the "aunts" are adopted. Or is that more ants/aunts than a picnic? (sorry! couldn't resist!)

Aunt Becky's Banana Puddin'- Remember that pudding with layers of sliced bananas and Nilla wafers???

Aunt Betty's Blackberry Pie- Sweet Blackberries in a homemade pie.

Aunt Brenda's Banana Nut Bread- Bananas with just the right amount of spice.

Aunt Carol's Crescent Rolls- Homemade Buttery Croissants

Aunt Carol's Crumb Cake- Rich Apple Cake with a crumble topping.

Aunt Glady's Gingerbread- Sweet gingerbread. Not too spicy.

Aunt Patty's Pie Crust- Sweet & flaky. Just like Aunt Patty. =o)

Aunt Purdee's Pumpkin Bread- Pumpkin, sugar and spices. Done just right.

Aunt Rosie’s Raisin Bread- Sweet and Spicy. Just like Aunt Rosie always was. =o)

Aunt Sarah's Applesauce Cake- Applesauce and lots of spice . Very nice...

OH Look! The grandparents are in there as well:

Grandma-Old fashioned floral cologne that Grandma used to wear. Also known as Toilet Water.

Grandpa- Fresh from the barber shop and smelling good..

Grandma Cantrell's Cookies- Sugar cookies with some spice in the mix. A lot like Snickerddoles.

Grandma's Cedar Chest- Sachets, linens and cedar.

Grandma Lucy's Lemon Pound Cake- Nobody makes it like her.

Grandma Thompson's Secret Recipe- All we know is that it has zuchinni in it, but everyone loves it!

Grandpa's Pumpkin Egg Pie- My grandpa always put egg nog in his pumpkin pies. =o)

And Dad! It's the whole fam damily!

Dad's Cucumbers N' Cream- Sliced cucumbers soaked in rich sweet cream.

Of course, you can't forget Mom:

Mom's Apple Pie- The best ever... Spicy!

Mom's Homemade Brownies- Lots of chocolate in these ones!

There's a lot of western-themed tarts too:

Cowbaby- My own mixture of leather and baby powder.

Cowgirl- My own mixture of leather and honeysuckle.

Cowboy Coffee- Strong black coffee.

Good Lookin' Cowboy- This is a Good Smellin' Man wearing leather cowboy boots...

No mention of cow patties though... probably just as well. I can't imagine that would be a good scent.

Seriously though.... who was Lessie? I seem to remember a vendor that was popular who sold/gave her recipes to Can-Do, and that some of them were just insanely popular. Which ones are just-not-to-be-missed?

Lessie's Birthday Cake- This smells so real!

Lessie's Blueberries & Whipped Cream-Blueberries covered in rich whipped cream...oh man this is good!

Lessie's Cinnamon Rolls- Strong on the cinnamon!

Lessie's Coco-Mint Frost- A little different than most. Wonderful rich combo of creamy coconut and peppermint.

Lessie’s Carrot Cake- spicy home-baked carrot cake covered in rich cream cheese frosting! This will make your mouth water it's so good!

Lessie's Haunted House- Patchouli, pumpkin, secret spices, and the faint scent of popcorn balls in the mix....add it all up and what do you have? HALLOWEEN!!

Lessie's Paradise Island- freshly squeezed lime, tropical fruits, and beautiful fragrant gardenias in the air...close your eyes...it's paradise!

Lessie's Prim Wishes- this scent starts with crisp and sweet top notes of bergamot, that are followed by jasmine blended with patchouli, vanilla, and cedar wood on a bed of amber...absolutely stunning fragrance!

Lessie's Whipped Cream & Honeydew-sweet honeydew melon dipped in luscious whipped cream.....the perfect melon mix!
