:o Oh dear! Not sure that this board is going to be a good thing! LOL! Just placed my 1st LSC order after all of the raves here! It is just a small one. Here is what I ordered:

Apple Butter Pound Cake
Blackberry Peach Pound Cake
Orange Cream Cake

Pomegranite and Fig Cedar
Violet Lime

Has anyone tried these? Can't wait!!

Also, congrats, Laurie, on your win! Let us know what scents you get!

Great! I can't wait to see what you think.

I have tried (and loved) Apple Butter Pound Cake, Sugar Corn Pudding, and Violet Lime. Terrific!

My first order was small too, because I'd rather be bowled over and begging for more rather than thinking "eh" and "now I have to just use all these up" with a new vendor. LSC definitely bowled me over.

I've only melted Sweet Snow from your list, but loved it so much I re-ordered 5 more. Not on your list, but a scent I'm so insane about is Chocolate Mint Latte. I actually got online to reorder mid-melt because I needed MORE and I needed a LOT and I wanted it YESTERDAY. So yeah... really good stuff.

I have Sugar Corn Pudding and Violet Lime, but have only smelled them cold. The both smell amazing and true to description.

Sad but true: I have my 2nd long LSC order list sitting here waiting for some money to materialize.

As I was doing some clearing out, I found some older LSC melts from when I first started ordering. I thought it'd be fun to share some then and now pics!

Then on the flip side:

Wow! She used to shrinkwrap them? That must've been time-consuming. How long have you been buying from her, Cyn? Has anything changed in that time other than the packaging?

My first order was back in September and two of my orders were shrink wrapped. I was sooooo happy when she changed to tart cups! The quality has not changed, though. Her tarts were very good then. I'm melting an older Cake Batter Ice Cream tonight and it smells wonderful!

How are you all getting these out of your melters? Freeze and pop, or pouring hot? I had one in a tin, but the wax was a bit soft for a pop-out.

Pouring hot...the good thing about soy is that you can clean it up pretty easily with soap and water! I am also struggling to get them out of the cups to put them in the melters. Anyone have a good suggestion?

I pour mine out hot, Jules.

I have a problem with that, too, Cat. And I hate getting wax under the nails - ew! I've just taken to squeezing the cup all around with the lid off to try to loosen it up from the sides. Then pushing from the bottom or sometimes pinching. I'd like to hear if someone else has the trouble and what they do.

Jules - I was having a problem with the freeze method. They would freeze but then wouldn't come out of the dish so I guess with these, we will have to pour. I am such a clutz that I am not a fan of pouring but if I must, I will.....It's a small price to pay for enjoying LSC.

I also have a problem getting them out of the melt cups so I just put the cup in the freezer for a few minutes and it comes out into the melter really easy. HTH.

I just squeeze them to pop them out. If one is stubborn, I pinch it with the joints of the first finger on each hand and then push on the bottom really hard with my thumbs - no wax under my fingernails that way.

I pour it out hot into a votive mold. I've started doing that with all my melts instead of saving them to have one big meltfest.

Even though they can be tricky to get out, I wouldn't want to sacrifice the killer throw she has going in favor of them being easier to pop out. It's a small price to pay, lol!

I've had trouble popping them out too. Freezer time definitely helps. On the really tough ones, I slide a sharp knife in between the plastic and the tart, and do that all the way around wherever it isn't separated from the cup, and that seems to help.

I saw a reference to curing time earlier in this thread...does anyone know for sure how long to let them sit?

Good point. We could always store them in the fridge. They'd be easy to pop out of the cups. A crisper full of wax melts. Ya. That'll go over well with the DH. Posted Image

My next-order list just keeps growing and growing!

Does anyone like (the now discontinued) Amaretto Nog from Aromatique? She's working on a dupe for that - I sent her a piece of my remaining candle. It's an amazing scent - very rich and creamy almond - no spice, no sharpness. I can't wait to try her version.
