Hi everybody,

You guys are great. Thanks for all the well wishes for a good trip. We had several last minute glitches and ended up not going. [smilie=th_thanimeomega_emoticon Nothing serious, thank heavens, just stuff like grandson's dog sitter had a minor emergency and canceled, etc. I'm sure you've all been there, where you start thinking, "Well, it's just not meant to be." We're a little disappointed but all's well and DD plans to come home soon. That way she can visit everyone, including her Brucie. [smilie=th_huganimal]

Sweet, what a terrific and thoughtful sister you have!

Wow, flip a page on the calendar and the weather flips too! It's still plenty warm, but cloudy with some rare rain here in the desert. I'm finally starting to get in the mood for pumpkin instead of coconut! [smilie=th_smilies-1]

Today it's been CCCC's Berry Fulfilling and boy, it's getting an all around A+ from me! [smilie=th_LOVE]

Hi guys, I am on my sons MAC computer as mine is getting repaired. Thats why I have been kinda missing. I wanted to let you all know that my friend Randi passed away very early this morning. I was able to get there yesterday to see her. It was the most heart wrenching thing I have ever witnessed and I hope to not have to experience this again. I know I may, but please God not for awhile. I so hope she heard everything I tried to whisper to her last night, through tears.

Looking around her house and seeing all her candles made me smile. She loved her candles too. A Yankee Candle fan she was. Never was able to introduce her to tart melting. She is my moms best friend and you cannot count on my mother to persuade anyone.....she is no fun. She melts and burns but doesn't like recruit...LOL

OK, sorry to post this all here, but I am not sure where else to post stuff like "what we are doing" etc.

Anyway, today I came home from work and took a quick nap. Emotions are tiring. Got up and did some major straightening and such. Got all my laundry ready to go and the house is all tidy. So, therefore I felt the need to smell something good. Randi would not want me to stop my life and would love to smell the goods too. Plus, I figured I better get a jump ahead of myself with the wake and funeral Monday and Tuesday.

I am melting CBV's Pink Sugar/Coconut in the bedroom and burning a Banana Coconut Cream Pie candle in the kitchen, also from CBV.

Thank you all for everything.

[smilie=th_empathy] Oh Maurie, I am so sorry for your loss! But at least she is in a better place and no longer in pain. And I do believe she heard everything you said... God bless you!

Good Morning..... [smilie=th_c2e41937]

Melting Blue Gecko's Warm Apple Cider. Seems fitting for the first weekend of October. I will be going to an apple festival today, so this scent is perfect!

It has been a long time since I have posted on the scent of the day. Life has been really busy! Everything is good, but I do not have a chance to post as much. I do try to stop in and read some posts every once in awhile though (especially the hollywood game..... my favorite game!!!).

Hope all is well with my candle friends! [smilie=th_aa18]

Maurie, hugs to you during this difficult time. [smilie=th_bighug-1]

Hope everyone has a great day!!! [smilie=th_biggestgrin]

I cannot get over the shock of this loss. I am trying but its just something so sick. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart.

Today I started melting my CBV Banana Coconut Cream Pie candle. Its almost done and I think I need to let it go and break out some other "fall" scents. Though I love this one and have been thru 2 of them already. I am kinda done with it at this point. Today it will be finished. Then I believe I will move on to Country Fair Funnel Cake or Reeses Peanut Butter Cup.

Have a great weekend everyone. Man, I am loving this MAC laptop. To think I only paid almost $3,000 for this boys computer. It was our gift to him for doing so well in HS. Was supposed to be this OR the graduation party. Well, guess who got BOTH? LOL He deserved it. I love my boys so much. [smilie=th_smilies-2]

Marie: I am so very sorry for your loss. I have heard that the last sense to go is hearing, so I am very sure she could hear and feel your love for her.

This morning I am melting Carol's-Cedar Chest.
It is looking like rain today, so bring it on!!! I have thought about doing a rain dance... [smilie=th_smilies-1]
Have a great day everyone and a safe weekend.

Fleur, I've missed you, and I'm sure everyone else has too! So good to "see" you here on occasion. You're darned good at the Hollywood game! Me, not so much. How's Daisy? Enjoy the apple festival!

Maurie, thinking of you, sweetie...

Sweet, thank you!

I'm melting FM's Dreamsicle Frosting. It's out of this world good! See me up there on cloud nine? [smilie=cloud_9]

Have a lovely weekend, everyone.

Good morning!

Maurie, I'm so sorry for your loss. Another young life lost to a horrible disease. She's at peace now and looking down on you with love.

Tonight my parents are coming over for dinner. It's the first time they will be over since my dad's diagnosis. His second treatment went well with minimal side effects. He doesn't get out much because of the pain but I'm so excited that he's getting out of the house today! I'm making roasted chicken...delicious and healthy!

It looks like I have to squeeze in a trip to BBW to pick up Frosted Cupcake. I tried yesterday but the local BBW closed down which I didn't find out about until I got there. (Silly...BBW in Selden is gone). Now I have to go to the mall...ugh. The drive there is such a pain.

This morning's scents:
Tart: Jelly Donut (CFTKR)
Candle: Autumn Leaves (YC)

Maurie-SO sorry for your loss. I know how you feel as I witnessed a very good friend of mine pass away of breast cancer at 41. Very sad to witness and knowing that you aren't able to help them. I am sure she heard all you said and I am sure your being there brought her comfort.

I have only one melter going this morning and have going CFTKR Apple & Clover for this very fall day.

LLVV-Enjoy your dad's visit.

Have a great Saturday everyone!!
