what is everyone doing for NY eve? I'm not sure why(I'm really not a nosy person) but i always love to know what people's plans are for holidays.
hubby and I are staying in. I'm marinating some chicken wings (kind of a sweet/spicy chinese marinade), and making a tuscan spread, and an avacado dip, along with some fresh veggies, etc.
tomorrow I'm making a lamb cous cous, which is a staple dish in hubby's country and they usually eat this during a special occasion.

We're staying at home, and probably playing the Wii that we got for Christmas. LOL!

that sounds like fun. You can eat all those rich NY eve foods and snacks and get your exercise at the same time.

We're staying in and watching movies with the kids. You'd think living in Las Vegas we'd want to go out, but no. We're much happier just being at home. We may or may not make it 'til midnight. If we do, we'll watch the fireworks on the strip from the kids' bedroom windows.

We are ordering a pizza and staying home and watching some movies. A little before midnight we turn it over to see the ball drop in times square. Pretty quite night for us

everyone's plans sound so nice and cozy. I've done the Times Square thing, but at this stage of the game, I'm glad to stay home.
It seems that more and more people prefer to stay in that I have talked to, both online, and in person.

We were on the road on New Year's Eve. We rolled into Gatlinburg TN around 12:30 to find a huge crowd or revelers. The streets were packed. We weren't expecting a crowd at all, so this was shocking to say the least. We were just looking for a place to park the motorhome for the night. Finally made it through main street and stopped in the Smokey Mountain Welcome Center for the night. Thank goodness nobody made us leave, since we had nowhere else to go.

Whew, good thing the Welcome Center lived up to its name!

DH said it was like driving a fire truck through there. So glad I wasn't behind the wheel.
Myself, I kept looking for hop-ons.
