Fill in the blank: You know you're addicted when...

I'm enjoying reading about how addicted some of you are *cough, Deb, cough* to tarts, candles, other smellies.
How about completing this sentence:
You know you're addicted to ____ when you _____.

I've got one. You know you're addicted to tart buying when you set your alarm to wake you in the middle of the night, so you can be one of the first to order during a huge sale.

:)

Guilty!

Here's another: You know you're addicted to TART RECEIVING when you come home at lunch hour even though it takes twenty minutes one way just to see if your latest package has arrived and so no one else sees it first!

Cynthia, That sounds like me with ebay!! I set my alarm to get up in the middle of the night 15 min. before an item is ending so I can get it in the last 2 min.!!!

You know you are addicted when you shake like an addict when you can't find a lighter to lite your tarts or candles!!!

You know you are addicted when you have to go to bed smelling tarts, and when the tea light goes out you get up to light another one!!! LOL

You know you addicted when you are hiding the credit card bill so dh doesn't see all the candle places you are ordering from!!!

HEY!!!! I resemble that remark!!! :P

You know you are addicted to melting when you quietly smash the shipping boxes and tuck them in recycling before anyone counts how many there are...

You know you are addicted to candles and melts when you can not walk past a store that has them without going in and cold-sniffing --- and making the person with you do the same thing.

 Oh, gosh, I forgot (or did I repress?)! You know you're addicted when you take the empty boxes to work to dispose of them unnoticed.

You know you're addicted to tarts when you're already dreading a trip to the in-laws this summer, knowing you'll be an entire week without your tarts and burners! I'm seriously thinking about packing them with me and setting them up in their house. Would that be rude? :)

I don't think it would be rude! I pack mine, and take them every where I go on trips!!!

I ask if they mind, and they always say no so far!

My mother-in-law is the type who keeps unscented candles on hand in case of a power out. Scented candles, tarts, burners, potpourri, reed diffusers, etc. are things completely foreign to her. Mmm...maybe I could bring her over to the other side. Any advice from the Queen Enabler? [smilie=th_aa17]

OMG, I am cracking up with these answers! [smilie=th_aa17]

Mpfand, first ask a few innocent questions to determine what her favorite scents might be. Then send her a tart warmer and a few tarts in that scent category from one of your favorite vendors. When she calls and asks what the heck that stuff is, gleefully give her a demonstration (or talk her through it if she lives too far away). You'll have her hooked, LOL.

You know you are addicted when you have a vendor ship to your best friend's house and then you stuff them in the trunk of your car. The next morning after dh has left for work, you bring them in the house and stuff them away. Of course, my best friend is sworn to secrecy and she can be bought (with tarts, of course)!! I have also had them shpped to the office.

You guys are hilarious. I guess you know you are addicted to tart buying when you can count over 300 tarts just sitting at your computer and your closets are full and you still keep buying, and buying, and buying..... [smilie=th_aa17]

OH MY!!!!!!!.....

This is SO me.... [smilie=th_BringItOn]

Even though DH swears he doesn't mind, I am embarassed by all the boxes I manage to accumulate. I do my best to hide them amongst the recyclables or take them to my mother's house - "In case I might need them for packing sometime."

The thing is, with me I have candles. Lots and Lots and Lots..... of candles..... and lots of tarts.... I have no more hiding places because they are ALL FULL!!!! [smilie=th_51991986]

At least I'm not alone... [smilie=th_aa17] [/quote]

I feel good knowing I am not the only one out there with enough tarts and candles to last me if I burned a dozen a day and lived to be 200--guess that's an incentive to do that, huh? Oh well, we are having fun and that is what it's all about.
