I am moving along reading Stephen King's 11/22/63. So far, I am really enjoying this book.

I loved this story. It's different from King's usual horror themes.

I'm reading The Litigators from John Grisham. I'm about half way through and it's pretty good. I still can't tell which way it's going to turn.

I just finished Home Front by Kristin Hannah and recommend it to anyone who wants a GREAT story, especially anyone who knows someone currently in the military. It's about a woman who flies a Black Hawk helicoptor for the military in Iraq. She has to leave her two young children and troubled marriage when she is deployed. Her husband is an attorney defending an Iraq vet who killed his wife. Lots of interesting stuff here about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

I just finished The Fault in our Stars by John Green. It was an OK book, but I don't think he took enough to research his background information.

Recently read:

The Gods of Gotham by Lyndsay Faye. Very good, a little slow in parts with a more fast paced ending, LOVED the historical story behind this.

Behind the Beautiful Forevers: Life, death, and hope in a Mumbai undercity by Katherine Boo . Excellent, learned so much about India's slums and the inquality between the haves and the have-nots.

How It All Began by Penelope Lively. Very enjoyable...Highly Recommend. I had previously read this author's Family Album, and loved that story, as well. She writes beautifully about family dynamics and the books are quick reads.

What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank by Nathan Englander.
Enjoyed only a couple of the stories (Camp Sundown, and the title story, What We Talk About When We Talk About Anne Frank ) in this selection of short stories. I have never been keen about short stories.

Currently reading:

The Flight of Gemma Hardy by Margot Livesey. I am enjoying this story A LOT !

Next up:

The Snow Child by Eowyn Ivey

I love this thread! It's such a great resource! Thanks to all of you for giving me so many good ideas for future reading material. [smilie=th_smilies-2]

I'm reading "The Curious Naturalist: Nature's Everyday Mysteries" by Sy Montgomery. It's wonderful if you like this type of thing, but it's hard to find. Published several years ago, I couldn't find a new copy for less than $175, and that's for a paperback. I also couldn't find it in any So. Cal. library, not even the gigantic one in downtown Los Angeles. I did find a used copy in very good condition via Amazon. It cost me $25 but it's well worth it.

I'm also about to begin "Everyday Grace" by Marianne Williamson.

Candlelove, did you like Home Front ?

I finished The Flight of Gemma Hardy and enjoyed it a lot. Some loose ends were never tied up, though, which is a bit annoying.
