The first time I caught the first few minutes of an episode of this series, I thought no way...too much blood and violence, and THEN, one of my friends came over and said "you have to watch this show with me, it's not what you think it is really about."
I got hooked on this show and love it! I can hardly wait for the next season.
Does anyone else watch this ahow?

I was put off by the premise when I first heard about it. I noticed that the guy from Six Feet Under played the lead character so I checked it out.

Now I'm hooked. I really like this show.

I've been meaning to check it out because Six Feet Under is my favorite show of all time and Michael C. Hall was amazing in it. I hear he's great in this, too. I may have to put this in my Netflix queue (did I spell that right?).

I think that is the right spelling. I don't have Netflix, but I have been watching season two which is airing now. Michael Hall is so well-cast in this! An hour of this show is hardly enough. I was hoping season two would have been out by now for rental, but I think i will wait and add it to my DVD collection. I saw it for purchase on Amazon, but I have a few more tarts to buy first.
I'm so glad someone else watches this. Maybe when the new season starts, we can post in between episodes. A week is a long time to wait for such a suspenseful show.
I just love the way Dexter's past has been slowly revealed, and oh aren't Harry's rules great?

The re-runs of Dexter are on two times tonight, and the episodes are right near the end of the last season, so these are really good ones!

I've been watching the first disc of the second season on DVD from Netflix. yea it's finally out. This is a great show. It showed highlights of the first season and I almost want to watch that season again to get caught up.

Here's the thing. The opening credits totally gross me out! Him swatting the mosquito and shaving close up and eating that meat with the sound effects and the blood orange. Yuck! I usually fast forward the credits part. Funny how THAT would be the part that I can't stand.

I know what you mean Jule. Those opening credits are what kept me from watching the show when it first came on. I have it timed down how long the gross opening is, so I usually do something else until the show starts like icing a melter, putting on a load of wash, and sometimes even lighting a candle in the room, but it is never red wax.
Michael was on Jay Leno this past week, and it was so strange to see him dressed in a suit. He seemed very nice and humble!
Get this: One of his first jobs as a teenager was selling knives. Of course he said they were great cooking knives, and he drove his Mom crazy trying to get leads, and actually went in people's homes for demonstrations.
Whew! I wouldn't let anyone in my house to demonstrate knives after watching this show! [smilie=th_12E9EC16] No way!

A door-to-door knife salesman just sounds like a bad idea to me too. Dexter or no Dexter. That's pretty funny.

I got to watch the first disc of the second season and now there is a "very long wait" listed on Netfilx for the second disc. [smilie=th_12E9EC16] So now I'm waiting in limbo.

The first episode of the new season was great last week! Is anyone watching the new season? Looks like it is going to be some good new fresh(not flesh [smilie=th_prod_107_1676] ) material with the best of the cast still alive!
