Hi all

I havent been here for some time, I had to lockmyslef down completely as I hoarded huge amount of wax. Now the pile has come down so I think I am OK to place a small order. I haven't ordered for about 2 years!!!!.

I think my fave vendors, such as Blue gecko, Angels made scents etc are gone.

SInce I havent been keeping track, who do you recommend now?

I am looking for softer wax I can use in Yankee melters.

Welcome Back DesertRose!!
2 years? That's amazing...you have great self-control! [smilie=th_clap1]
Angel Made Scents is still around, I think. But, have you tried Lasting Scents Candles? LSC has softer wax and they throw wonderfully...and last and last! Her TAT is kinda long but she does have an RTS section. :)

Howdy! Glad to see you back! You did what I should do... ^_^

CandleDippers and Cheryl's are still on my radar. As far as newer names, Butterfly Lane and Kim's Tarts have had some positive reviews, and I have had pretty good luck with them.

There are a couple more, but some are now under a new name (bought out or merged) - who out there has them straight?

How about The Bathing Garden (etsy)? :) They need to cure a while, though (longer than 2 weeks). Strong throw!

[smilie=th_1_bigone110] I'm so impressed with your no ordering will power! I agree with the Lasting Scents and Butterfly Lane - good stuff! Another to check out is Swan Creek. Their Drizzle Melts were good & strong 4 me. I see they have the 10 oz back for a limited time, those are a better deal $ wise, but they don't have as many scents as the 4.75 oz. Their 4.75 oz melts come in clams, but their clams aren't the usual one we've all gotten - they're HUGE! I've also tried a few from Aunt Nena's that were very good and want to try more when the weather cools off. One more to check out is ScentSationals great scents & good prices!

I would definitely recommend:
-The Bathing Garden (etsy) for tons of freaking cute tarts and unique blends. Most throw very well, too! My favorite vendor so I have like 130 scents from her

-Lasting Scents Candles (ah-mazing, all seem to throw perfectly and her scents are so special and unique. I always go for RTS though)

-Front Porch (if you are lucky to score anything as she pretty much sells out instantly when she's listing tarts. Especially good with bakery scents IMO Free shipping is great, too)

-CFTKR (candles from the keeping room- she uses harder wax thus not a problem in hotter weather. Instant shipping and fantastic scents. Especially her zucchini blends are kinda famous. Throw is great, too)

-country home scent (cute and strong tarts, gorgeous blends! Superfast shipping)

Other popular vendors are Kim's (very generic scents IMO as in no custom blends but her tarts are strong and cheap), shayz scentz (haven't tried but keep hearing rave reviews), hayley's heavenly scents (not tried either), tiffany candles (not a fan personally), sweet fixations (some too weak for me)

HTH :)

Those are very helpful recommendations, Fleck. Posted ImageI've only tried a couple of clamshells from The Bathing Garden quite a while ago. I think I need to try more.

Welcome back Desert Rose...long time, no see! My favorites are:

CFTKR-The classic never dies!

Can-Do-Still making great tarts!

Kim's Tarts-You cannot beat the value for the money, and the tarts are good, IMO.

Front Porch-Interesting blends, and very soft wax...good throws!

I agree with the above posts. I still love Nene's and my latest favorites are Butterfly Lane and Ye Olde CandleCubbard BL is closed now, but will re-open Sept. 1.

Another good one to try is Ten Digit Creations...great selection, quick shipping and excellent tarts.

Thanks to everyone for their recommendations.

Seems like many vendors are on summer break.
Crosscreek- vacation
Bathing Garden- closed
Nene's- vacation
Butterfly lane- vacation

Since I wanted some fruits and fresh to melt in the rest of summer those are out for now.

So I think I have paired it down to:
LOL
Lasting scents

Can-do- I have ordered from them before and still have many tarts left since I can not use them in Yankee melters, they are very hard wax.
same for CFTKR.

I have 2 Yankee eletric melters which are only 10W I think.

I think I will place small order with Lasting Scents for now.

Yesterday I have also managed to pick up 6 clamshells at Walmart from Better Homes and Scensationals.

TBG just opened today for a few days. She has an injury so she's a bit slower than usual... I hope Shannon will recover quickly and I wish her all the best!

It's hard to choose favorites as I pretty much like 99% of her scents lol. Honestly most of her bakery tarts aren't outstanding though

I would definitely recommend the following tarts though:
-Marie Antoinette's Boudoir
-Aromatherapy Relaxation
-Cheshire Cat
-Lemon Curd & Rose Milk
-Lemon Tea Party
-Raspberry Coconut Mousse
-Sugar Plum Fairy

Btw I got my Haley's order and I am very impressed. Her pink sugar cookie dough bread is divine!
