Hello all! I currently have two melters, Scentsy and BH&G, my questions is how much wax do you use in your melters? I usually melt the same scent in both my melters. With Clamshells, do you use one, two, three cubes in a melter. Sorry if this question is so basic. Miranda

Hey Miranda~
That really depends on your own taste and how strong the scent is to you! :) I usually melt 2 in each melter but there have been times I've used 3 in each only due to the fact that it was a light scent.

I'm with Maggie. I usually throw in two at a time, but it varies depending on how strong they are.

I usually use three cubes in single melter. Welcome and I hope you're having fun with your hobby. [smilie=th_Welcome_from_the_Whol

Thanks for the feedback. What about the scallops and scent shots? I am having fun finding new vendors, although I have become somewhat obsessed now!

Great question chase, this was something I've been wondering about too!

So far I've been conservative, using 1/2 to 1oz at a time in the melter. My living room is on the small side and this works for me right now. I am getting very good throw with the wax I've tried so far (Almost Country and Skin Dazzle).

I'm also quite obsessed with tarts :D Definitely addictive stuff hehe

If I'm melting BH&G cubes I usually use 2, but if it's a scallop type of tart I use the whole scallop.

Same as Twinsmom here. It really depends on the melter and the size and strengh of the tart though. I dont own any really good melters yet, just 2 of those Walmart heating plates and 2 cheap tea light doohickys. The last 2 are very small. One can only hold 1 cube.

I use old candle jars on the plates, and usually use a whole tart. If its a weakish scent, I do 2. I'm really loving buying a bag of chips, its so nice to be able to add as needed. Have fun Chase, and glad your here!

I usually add two cubes at a time, sometimes three if the scent is really light. In my powder room, the tealight warmer's plate is really small, so I will usually look for a stronger scent so I can add just one. I've even been known to throw in four in either my great room or the rec room downstairs. As far as scallops and scent shots, that whole sucker goes in there! [smilie=th_dancing_smile]
