Clamshell cubes versus tarts or cups.

I just wondered if there is a scent difference, storage difference, variety or something more tangible than a tart or a cup is bigger than one clamshell cube.
Thanks for helping me understand!

I have noticed though that with one vendor I buy from, the tarts in the plactic container, smells like plastic. But I buy BH&G at Walmart, and I do not smell in the plastic smell in their cubes.

I love the cups or just bagged in cello wrappers.

That said, I am a sucker for the shaped melts, no matter what sized package. The bakery kind look yummy displayed in a dish and they are fun to pop in a melter.

I love the shapes for something fun and different. I have more than enough of "regular" shaped melts, so the cute shaped melts bring in some novelty.

I bought and then gave away like 10 clams that just arrived because they smelled like the scent but then motor oil (husband is a race car driver otherwise I'd not know this for the life of me).
I really thought that my nose had something against soy wax. Sounds as if it could be the clam containers.
Good to know. I may just try fluted tarts and see what I think. Thanks so much!!

Karen, I have noticed that "sometimes" soy does have a strange cold sniff...."sometimes" it goes away after a couple days/weeks...unfortunately, sometimes it doesn't.
