First impression of Rum Raisin:
I spied this candle at my local grocery store of all places and the moment I popped off the lid to smell it, I about died. YUM!!!!! As in… super “moan worthy” yum!!!! The wax smelled amazing… a warm bakery with maple notes and I don’t know… something totally edible you want to eat with a tall glass of milk. It was that kind of scent.
I don’t see this scent listed on Village’s website but I’m hoping it’s just seasonal and they’ll bring it back.
Here is the scent description I found off of Village Candles Pinterest account:
Butter, maple syrup, golden raisins, rum, walnuts & vanilla bean
Mmm!! That’s exactly what I smelled. Vanilla, butter, walnuts and sweet maple syrup and yes, raisins too all blended together into the most mouthwatering scent imaginable. Village NAILED this fragrance.
Time to find out how it burns.
I lit this candle in my master bedroom and it didn’t take long to start noticing the aroma. Within 10 minutes, the scent drifted to all parts of my bedroom and oh my goodness… the scent…. YUM!!!!! It smelled exactly as I described it above. Sweet vanilla blended with butter, walnuts and maple syrup. Seriously delicious!!
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 7. Not super strong but gave a steady medium scent throw.
This candle burned perfect thanks to 2 wicks. Clean and even burn from beginning to end. A+
Closing to my review:
Loved this candle and plan on purchasing several more should I find it again. I really REALLY hope Village brings this one back on their website down the road. Bakery lovers… it’s a keeper. You’ll be drooling.
Happy candle hunting!
