Provence – Kringle Candle Co Review

What did my candle smell like?
Provence was an impulse buy for me. I hit a great sale last year and just threw fragrances in my cart I’ve always wanted to try or normally wouldn’t buy. Anyone else do that besides me? What fun! I love it when I can do that and a sale definitely justifies that in my book.
What a unique fragrance this was. When I popped off the lid to smell it for the first time, I picked up so many different components and was instantly intrigued. It had an “old world” feel to it.
Here is the scent description for Provence:
“A gentle blend sweet honey, citrus and lavender, to re-create the magical fields of Provence.”
Smelling this candle before lighting it, I could pick up on everything in that description… lavender being the dominant
component. It was absolutely fresh and lovely and I instantly fell in love! I decided to stick to a small room to burn this candle in since the candle was tall and narrow and I’m glad I did… the scent throw in a small room was amazing and even spilled outside the room as well.
The fragrance… so unique. The two dominant scents I picked up on were honey and lavender and it was very unusual. My husband who never comments on anything (unless he loves or hates it) commented on this candle as well. About midway through the candle, he asked me what candle it was and that he really liked it. When I asked him what he thought it smelled like, he said sweet honey and herbs. He’s correct… honey really does stand out the most against the lavender and the two blended together was very unique. I never really did pick up on any citrus notes but I still loved it. Very unique fragrance!!
My candle burned great. No soot or wasted wax and it burned pretty clean. A+
Closing to my review:
I really really REALLY enjoyed this fragrance. Can you tell how much I really liked it? (Smiling)
I don’t see this fragrance listed on Kringle’s website anymore so not sure if it’s just out of stock or they discontinued it. If it’s discontinued… major bummer…. I would have definitely purchased more. I’m not a floral fan but lavender seems to be the exception for me so any lavender blends tend to be winners as well. I loved this candle and bonus… it’s husband approved which is rare in this house.
Highly recommend it to those who love fresh and herbal’y floral scents.
Happy candle hunting!
