What did my candle smell like?
I am definitely jumping out of my comfort zone by trying more and more floral scents I would normally shy away from. I couldn’t resist Picket Fence from Kringle though…. it sounded so lovely and I was hoping after reading the scent description, it wouldn’t be too heavy of a floral scent. I was right!!
Here is the scent description for Picket Fence:
A blossoming floral powder puff with clean and subtle undertones of sandalwood and musk…linger at our Picket Fence and smell the roses.
This TOTALLY smells like powder!! 100% and if that’s what Kringle was aiming for, they nailed it.
Interestingly, I didn’t really smell roses and I was *a-okay* with that. First impression for me… the fragrance wafting from the wax smelled delicate, powdery and absolutely 100% feminine. It smelled like a sweet and perfumy powder blended with subtle hints of floral. Very pretty scent.
Time to find out how it performs.
Because this was a smaller candle with one wick, I decided to burn it in a smaller room to start out. Once lit, it took roughly 30 minutes or so to really start noticing the fragrance. The aroma… exactly as the description implies – a sweet powdery floral fragrance. Very delicate and lovely.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this small candle a 6 in a small room. It wasn’t super strong but gave a nice and soft subtle scent throw.
This candle burned perfect. Zero wick issue, clean and even burn.
Closing to my review:
I’m really glad I had the chance to review this fragrance from Kringle. It’s not a scent I normally would purchase but sometimes it’s fun trying something outside my comfort zone and Picket Fence definitely was.
Although this scent is considered a floral fragrance, I can assure you it’s not a heavy one. It was delicate and sweet and absolutely doable for those on the fence about trying something floral. Just keep in mind this scent did give a subtle scent throw. Should you purchase it, I would stick to a small room to burn it in.
Happy candle hunting!
