What did my candle smell like?
Mmmm! Turbinado & Cream smelled deliciously sweet and creamy and I’m not sure why Colonial isn’t listing this fragrance anymore. It’s still on their site but there is nothing to purchase under the listing. At any rate, I hope they bring it back. This candle smells delicious.
Here is the scent description pulled from Colonial’s site:
Treat yourself to the delicious, sweet sugary notes of creamy buttermilk, caramel and cinnamon.
Um…. YUM!!!!! They had me at buttermilk! The rest was just gravy.
Smelling the wax for the first time… I smelled sweet and sugary cream. I loved it!! Because my candle was pretty small, I stuck to a small powder room to burn it in and oh my goodness was it perfect. Once lit, it took about 10 minutes to really start noticing the aroma and it smelled just as I imagined it would… a sweet and luscious cream. It was mouthwatering! Did the scent match the description? Not quite. It was sugary and I could smell the creamy buttermilk but not really any caramel or cinnamon. I was perfectly fine with that though since the overall scent was still quite yummy.
Strength – Not bad for an itty bitty candle. Rating from 1 to 10, in a small bathroom, I would rate this candle a 7. It gave a decent medium scent throw.
My candle burned perfect. No wick issues… clean and even burn with no soot. A+
Closing to my review:
I really loved this fragrance and am crossing my fingers Colonial relists it. I’ll for sure purchase a few of these in their larger jars once they do. It was one of the sweetest vanilla type scents I’ve smelled in a long time and I definitely would love getting my hands on more.
Burn Performance: 5/5
Overall Rating: 4.5/5
