Type: 14.5oz large 3 wick candle
Fragrance: St. Tropez Shore
Scent Strength: Strong
First impression of St. Tropez Shore:
St. Tropez Shore from reading the scent description sounded like it would be a refreshing and perfect summer scent. It was also a really pretty candle with its slate blue wax and decorate labeling. See picture above for visual reference.
Here is the description for St. Tropez Shore:
Sea salted bergamot, sun lilies, Cote D’Azur coconut
Bergamot is always bright and refreshing. Sun lilies I wasn’t too sure about but coconut, oh yes!! I had no idea what Cote D’Azur was so I had to look it up and learned it’s a location on the French Riviera. Nice!!! So coconut found on the French Riviera. Sounds romantic. Let’s see if that translates in this scent.
First impression when smelling the wax – I smelled bergamot and lilies the most. No coconut that my nose could detect, but hoping that comes to life once the candle was burning.
Time to find out!
I lit this candle in my master bedroom and within minutes of lighting the wicks, the scent was already traveling through my bedroom. This candle is strong. The aroma… just as it smelled when I first popped off the lid… a fresh perfume kind of scent that was all fresh bergamot and lilies. I never did detect coconut which made me a little sad. If it was there, the lilies and bergamot was simply too strong and overpowered it. Regardless, the overall scent was still very pretty and one I would recommend to those who love fresh perfume type fragrances.
Strength – This candle was pretty strong. I would rate this candle a 9 out of 10 in a large room. 10 in medium to smaller rooms.
This candle burned great. No wick issues. Clean burning from beginning to end.
Closing to my review:
St. Tropez Shore wasn’t initially what I was expecting but I did enjoy this fragrance. The aroma reminded me of a bright and fresh perfume. Definitely check this candle out if that type of aroma appeals to you. The only sad point for me was not smelling the coconut part in the description. I would have liked that… but I guess we can’t have it all.
If you are interested in this scent… hurry!! I have a feeling it’s on its way out for the season.
Happy candle hunting!
