Peach Cilantro Twist Scented Candle – Bath & Body Works
by Christina Rylan
Brand: Bath & Body Works
Type: 14.5oz 3 wick candle
Fragrance: Peach Cilantro Twist
Scent Strength: Medium
Introduction to my review:
Round 3 of my “Summer Sips” candle reviews from Bath & Body Works… 2 more to go after this. I am LOVING these fragrances and will miss them when they retire… and hope they come back next year. Crossing fingers…
Next up… Peach Cilantro Twist. Cold sniff was really promising… it smelled like the sweetest peach with hints of fresh cilantro. So unique! I liked it and I’m not a huge peach fan.
This candle was their standard 14.5oz large 3 wick candle. The wax color was a bright coral/orange. The label on the front of the candle shows a white mason jar with a sliced peach and cilantro sprigs… there is also a straw peeking out of the glass. The scent name, “Peach Cilantro Twist” in a fun and modern font was embossed in black at the top of the glass. Very retro and well done. On the label towards the bottom says:
“4 juicy peaches, 3 sprigs fresh cilantro, stir up some fun”
There is also a pink and yellow striped label that covers the entire chrome lid… in the center is a whole fuzzy white peach with a banner that reads “Summer Sips” across the center. See picture for a better visual reference.
What did my candle smell like?
This candle smelled – amazing! First sniff… I smelled sweet peaches with distinctive hints of fresh cilantro blended in. I cook a lot with cilantro and let me tell you, blended with peach (which is most unusual) smelled really interesting.
Here is the scent description I pulled off the bottom of my candle:
“Capture all the fun of a backyard bash with this fresh and fruity blend of early summer peach, fresh garden cilantro and a hint of juicy mango.”
I wonder what this would taste like? I imagine a refreshing mojito only with cilantro instead of mint. I bet it would taste fabulous. Time to light my candle!
I lit this candle in my large master bedroom (the room I like to review in) and waited for the magic to begin. I’d say within 5 minutes of lighting it, the fragrance was already becoming noticeable… within an hour or so… the scent traveled all throughout my bedroom and beyond, even flowing into my living area. This candle is STRONG!!!! The scent – so different and unique… I really liked it! This is no ordinary peach fragrance… with the cilantro blended in, it was zesty and refreshing. I almost want to say it reminded me of grapefruit more than peach. As a matter of fact, once burning, I couldn’t even really smell peach at all. It smelled like a zesty and citrusy grapefruit. I didn’t smell any mango.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10… I’d rate this fragrance a 9… maybe even a 10. The scent throw on this candle filled my entire bedroom and adjoining bathroom with fragrance and traveled well beyond filling my entire upper level with fragrance. I consider that pretty strong. The scent very citrusy and refreshing!
My candle burned perfect from beginning to end. No wick issues… clean burn with no wasted wax. PERFECT!
I enjoyed this candle and would buy it again. It was really fresh and unique and best of all… it was strongly scented which I loved. Nothing like lighting a candle and it fragrances your entire house all by itself. It was interesting how the wax before lighting it smelled like peaches and cilantro but once lit, it smelled totally different… it really smelled like grapefruit to me.
Have you tried this fragrance? I’d be interested to know what you thought of it. Peaches or Grapefruit?
All Bath & Body Works summer candles are on sale so now would be the time to take the plunge if you wanted to try these fragrances. Hurry before they’re gone!
Happy candle hunting!

Ah! I loved this candle and smelled peach but I can see what you mean how the scent changed. I agree on that. I still liked it.
