What did my candle smell like?
I always try and post at least one Easter review each year and decided on “Happy Easter” from Bath & Body Works which is new for 2016. Super cute candle!! The color of the wax was a bright yellow – the label on the candle was clear with a picture of a whimsical white Easter Bunny and three Easter eggs sitting on a bed of green grass.
Here is the scent description for Happy Easter:
Happy Easter! Celebrate spring with a sweet blend of sparkling cotton candy, raspberries and fresh sugared cream.
Yum!! Wanted to point out, on the label it also read “Cotton Candy Marshmallow.” Smelling the wax for the first time, the aroma reminded me of jelly beans with lots of sugar, not the tart kind but the sweet and sugary ones. I can totally picture raspberries and sugar cream… all the way! It was very sweet and candy like. The cotton candy component I didn’t detect as much and I definitely didn’t detect marshmallows which is pretty distinctive… especially in all Bath & Body Works scents.
I lit this candle in a large bedroom where it stayed from beginning to end. Once lit, it took a good 15 minutes before the aroma traveled to all parts of the room and once it did…. yum!! The fragrance smelled exactly as it did when I first smelled it… sweet jelly beans and sugar. I still wasn’t detecting marshmallow or sweet cotton cnayd but it was still sugary and great for Easter. Did I love it? I wouldn’t say “love” but I liked it and I keep going back to jelly beans. To me, that’s what this fragrance smelled like to me.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle an 8. It gave a nice and steady medium scent throw.
My candle burned perfect. No wick issues. Clean burn from beginning to end.
Closing to my review:
This was an enjoyable candle but I can’t say that I’ll be purchasing it again. It was good but not “great” if that makes sense? It’s a cute candle and looks great burning… your kids will also love it since it smells sweet and sugary candy but if you’re after a little bit more sophistication in a fragrance… this one may disappoint you. If you love the aroma of jelly beans however… this candle has your name written all over it!!
Burn Performance: 5/5
Overall Rating: 4/5

I had a different experience with this one. I liked it. It did smell like candy and not so much marshmallows but it was still sweet and fragrant. I burned it in my kitchen and it filled the room with scent. I wish I would have bought more.

The label is darling but the scent was light for me.

I liked the label on the candle and the scent on cold smelled good but… When burning I got little to no throw which was a complete disappointment to me.
