First impression of A Thousand Wishes:
I kept telling myself (for the last several years) that I was going to review A Thousand Wishes from Bath & Body Works with each New Year but never seemed to pull it off. Not anymore. It’s 2017 and it’s going to be an amazing year so, “A Thousand Wishes” – here I come!!
The great thing about this fragrance, it’s a staple scent at Bath & Body Works so it’s always around and… it smells wonderful.
Here is the scent description I pulled from Bath & Body Works website:
Warm your heart with a festive blend of sparkling champagne, crystal peonies & almond crème.
Mmm!! Smelling the wax after reading that scent description – I smell it all… the bubbly champagne, a touch of sweet peonies on a base of creamy almond and vanilla. All blended to perfection.
Time to light my candle and see how it performs!
I had a feeling this would be a room filler so I lit this candle in my master bedroom, a really large room. Within 30 minutes, I came back to a medium strength aroma of a sweet and creamy floral. Peonies and cream definitely stood out the most to me and I thought it was really pretty. The almond component seemed to fade against the floral and honestly, I didn’t mind. I’m not a floral fan but when blended with fruity or vanilla scents, I end up loving it. A Thousand Wishes was definitely floral but with a huge dose of creamy vanilla with hints of sweet champagne. The overall aroma was really lovely and feminine.
Strength – this candle wasn’t as strong in a large room as I hoped it would be but it still gave a nice and steady medium throw. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 7 in a large room. So, if you’re after strength – this candle is definitely better suited to medium or smaller rooms. That’s where I’ll burn it the next time I purchase this candle.
This candle burned perfect. No wick issues (Yay!!) It also burned clean and even from beginning to end.
Closing to my review:
A Thousand Wishes was a wonderful sweet and subtle floral that I enjoyed from beginning to end. I’m pretty sure this scent is available in their bath & body line too which I plan on trying next time I place an order. It’s a perfect scent for bath & body.
In closing, if you’re weary of floral scents and are ready to branch out, A Thousand Wishes would be a great choice to try. It’s not heavy, nor too sweet. It’s a perfect and subtle floral that will bring a sigh and smile to you face. It did for me.
Happy candle hunting!
