 Hello Candlefind! My name is Pam and I am a scent addict!
It all started when I couldn't resist the candles being sold on a TV shopping network. Not only did they look and sound pretty, but they would also serve a practical purpose in my home. For once, I could justify a purchase! You see, I'm an avid animal lover and have a collection of rescued dogs (5) and cats (1). Even when clean, animals give off their own smell which tends to make me self-conscious about having guests over. So candles appeared to be the answer to my home scenting dilemma.
After receiving a few candles from Old Virginia Candles, I wanted to know what other people's experiences were like with the same candles. I was thrilled to find a small candle group on the shopping network's forum. I did get some product feedback, but quickly learned that THE place for candle reviews was Candlefind. So I decided to check it out for myself.
All I could say is wow! - what a fabulous website and the forum was packed with active discussions, great photos, and contests with cool prizes! I was impressed by how warmly I was welcomed into the Candlefind community. I learned about tarts/melts and how I could experience a larger variety of fun aromas by buying small nuggets of concentrated scent as opposed to candles. Candles do have their place in my life, but tarts quickly became my preference.
I already have several favorite wax companies, but I hope to discover many-many more. There are so many overlooked terrific sources for awesome melting and candles yet to be discovered!
Since scent is such a personal preference, I will try to judge a product by how authentically it conveys the scent description, how long the scent actually lasts, how far the scent throws in my home, and what my experience was like with the company (including packaging).
I am so excited that Christina has asked me to join the review team. Candlefind has opened up a beautiful world of scent to me, and I could never go back to having an unscented home. Even if all of the animals moved out...... I will still be here sniffing, burning, and melting my delectable little goodies.
