One of the benefits of writing reviews for CandleFind is trying new companies.  I'm ashamed to admit it, but when Carolyn suggested Circle E I had never heard of them!  I quickly surfed over to see what I was missing and I was floored!  These candles are really pretty with great presentation.  The web site is easy to navigate and understand and the terms are reasonable.

Circle E is what I would consider an upscale candle company. Their prices are a lot more than I usually pay for my candles, and they advertise quality above all else.  There is a decent scent selection, 63 fragrances in eight catagories.  They have a flat shipping fee of $7.95 for orders under $100 and free shipping after that which I consider to be very fair.

I looked around and decided to play it safe by ordering votives and chose Hill Country Bluebonnet.  These votives are huge! They are 4 oz flowerpot votives, and I had to buy the special glass votive holder to put them in.

What Does My Circle E Votive Look Like?

My votive is a large four ounce votive.  It is flower pot shaped, with a rim on the top. The color is a pretty pale blue.

Circle E's packaging is simple and tasteful. The votive was wrapped in cellophane with a small sticker on top.

How Does My Votive from Circle E Smell?

The scent description is:

"The essence of the wildflower that calls Texas home."

Not living in Texas I have never actually smelled a bluebonnet.  I am familiar with the fragrance though, I have smelled many "bluebonnet" fragranced items.  This is usually a scent I like a lot. It's a nice floral, very fresh and delicate while still having a good scent strength.  I'm sure our Texas readers will be able to describe it much better than I can.  Circle E's offering was exactly what I was expecting so while I can't say if it's an authentic bluebonnet fragrance, I can say that it's what I think bluebonnets must smell like!  This is a nice version and the strength was perfect.  It is a very noticeable fragrance without being headache-inducing like some florals can be.

The votive has a great throw too.  It was plenty for my bedroom and even worked it's way down the hall.  Within five minutes of being lit it filled my room.

My votive was a little challenging.  I had to diligently keep the wick trimmed or it went out of control on me.  Also, try as I might I could not get it to burn to the edges all the way around.  I spent some time pushing wax into the pool.  This wasn't too terrible though.

Overall Opinion of My Votive from Circle E Candles:

This was a nice diversion from my usual melts habit.  The flowerpot votives are pretty and I'd definitely like to buy more of them and the glass holders because they make a nice decorative accent.  The fragrance was exactly what I was hoping for and expecting, so I would like to try more from this company.  Even though it's a little pricier than I'm used to I give it a thumbs up.  The quality of the scents makes it well worth the price and the votives really are BIG! I don't think you'll be disappointed.
