A few months ago I got some soy beads from Beanpod in floral scents to review.  I bought my soy beads from Cherry Lane Keepsakes because that's where I found the biggest variety.  At the time I was buying my florals, I also picked up Beanpod's Beach Walk scent because it piqued my curiosity.  I live in Southern California and have all my life, and the beach is one of my favorite places to be.  I can't seem to find a good beachy/water scent though.  They all smell perfumey to me instead of briny, so I have given up on "water" scents and have tried to get a beach feel out of my wax another way.  Beach Walk was one I simply had to smell! The ocean calms me and I feel so relaxed and at peace there so I wanted to try and bring a little of that home with me.

What Do My Soy Beads from Beanpod Look Like?

The soy beads from Beanpod are pretty small. They look almost like the little dots that a hole puncher makes. My Beach Walk soy beads are a beautiful pale yellow.

One of my favorite things about Beanpod is the packaging for their soy beads. They come in cute stackable containers that are square shaped, making them so easy to store. The convenient containers fit on any shelf or in a drawer without getting smashed. They're such a great solution to tart storage problems.

How Do My Beach Walk Soy Beads from Beanpod Smell?

"Beach Walk captures the essence of strolling down the beach; you can just smell the fresh ocean air and warm sand."

Since that didn't give me a whole lot to go on I looked around more and found this short and sweet description on TartBurners.com:

"Suntan lotion and coconut."

Hello!  I was so eager to smell these babies...I love the scent of suntan lotion.  When my box of soy beads arrived these were the first ones I smelled!  As soon as I took the lid off for a sniff I was in love. The smell definitely reminded me of a day at the beach.

It should be noted that the scent description from TartBurners is very accurate.  It smells like suntan lotion, not the oil but the lotion, with an added coconut element.  It's slightly sweet and a little fruity, but it's mostly suntan lotion.

I used about half the container in an electric melter, so about one and a half ounces.  Beach Walk is a lighter scent but I think that's good because if it were really strong, I think it would be too overpowering. Even though the scent is on the light side, I used these soy beads in my living room and they easily scented the area with their pleasant, beachy fragrance.

Overall Opinion Of My Soy Beads By Beanpod:

I really, really like soy beads from Beanpod!  They are so small and melt super fast so you get the scent almost right away. I think the price is reasonable and a great deal for what you get.

The beads are really versatile too.  They are so small that you can mix any scent you want with exactly how much of each you want to create your own unique fragrance.  I've mixed graham cracker, strawberry and whipped cream with great results.  I also mixed Chai (their version is heavenly!) and Whipped Cream...YUM!  I will definitely buy these again!
