Introduction to My Enchanted Meadows Review…
Enchanted Meadow is a candle company I had never heard of and recently tried for the first time. There are so many luxury companies out there and because I’ve only tried a few, I still consider myself a baby when it comes to luxury brands. I know that won’t last very long knowing me but for now, I’m taking baby steps and trying a few here and there. Each one you purchase is something to savor and enjoy.
I love shopping on candle sites that offer a wide variety of candle lines, that way I can purchase one of each and don’t have to search high and low for any specific brand. It’s also great when shipping specials are offered which gives me an excuse to buy more. I’m sick, I know, and freely admitting it. The website I found Enchanted Meadow candles is Freshbet.com, an online store selling a variety of luxury brands that I consider to be priced in the mid range.
Enchanted Meadow offers body care products along with candles in 15 various styles in over 49 fragrances. They offer candles in glass jars in soy or paraffin. They also make uniquely shaped obelisk, conical, pillar, Egyptian, light wave, triangle, terra luna, rectangular, narrow round or square pillars, traditional pillars and travel tin candles. Phew!! That was a mouthful!! The packaging on all their candles is truly exquisite as with all luxury brands so if you enjoy lovely packaging along with your candles, you would like this brand. Please keep in mind that not all fragrances are available in all the styles and shapes I mentioned. You’ll have to refer to the website I received this brand from to find out more details.
Enchanted Meadow is considered upscale luxury but what I found refreshing was that their prices were so reasonable. My 8oz candles were $13.00 each. That really is a phenomenal price when compared to other luxury prices considering most 8oz luxury candles start at $20.00 and up.
For this review, I chose two fragrances from Enchanted Meadows Home Fragrance Collection, Mandarin Tea and Orange Pomegranate. Definitely two fragrances I knew I would love.
What Do My Enchanted Meadow Candles Look Like?
These candles are so pretty and the packaging is just beautiful. The candles themselves are a tumbler style glass with a bit of swirled and flowered etching in it. Wrapped around the entire upper half of the candle is colored tissue paper and holding the tissue paper in place is a color coordinated ribbon with berries or flowers tied into it depending on the scent. Mandarin Tea had mustard color tissue paper with flowers tied in. Orange Pomegranate had red tissue with berries. (See pictures.)
How Did My Candles from Enchanted Meadows Smell?
I’m not usually into tea scents but I like just about everything with mandarin so it was easy picking this fragrance to try. My very first impression of this candle was the beautiful packaging. I know many of you love well presented candles and this line definitely gives a nice ooverall package for sure. (See candle description for further info)
Here is the scent description for this fragrance:
“A top note of fresh Mandarin Orange compliments the delicate base of Green Tea, Freesia and Grapefruit. A light and refreshing blend in lively tropical tones.”
Because this candle was small, I decided to burn it in my bathroom and I’m so glad I did because it smells wonderful there. What a lovely fragrance this is and everything the above description proclaims. I could smell all the ingredients but the few that stood out the most to me were the mandarin, green tea and freesia. Believe it or not, the floral note was beautiful and you could definitely make it out clearly. I think that’s why I liked it so much burning in my bathroom because the fragrance seemed delicate and fresh. I couldn’t help but take deep breathes of this scent every time I walked into the room.
The mandarin note was my favorite though, absolutely awesome! It was an herbal orange scent all the way and not overpowering at all. This candle fragranced my bathroom perfectly with a nice and steady scent. I don’t think I could have gotten away with burning this candle in a bigger room so keep that in mind if you purchase this candle. A for sure two thumbs up from me and I would definitely purchase it again.
I really enjoyed this candle. Orange Pomegranate was a safe scent for me “as in”… I knew I would like it.
Here is the scent description for this fragrance:
“Invigorating and tangy blend of fresh zesty orange with warm and spicy pomegranate. Perfect for cool autumn evenings.”
This fragrance definitely had some zest that I found tart yet sweet at the same time. I don’t know about the spicy part, I found no spice in this fragrance, just a sweet fruity scent that had me smiling every time I walked into the room I had it burning in. I love both orange and pomegranate and both blended together is a winner. You can make out both fruits pretty clearly with none really dominating over the other. I liked it!
I burned this candle in a smaller bathroom just like the Mandarin Tea and again, it burned perfect in a smaller room. I always take size into consideration when picking a room to burn candles in. I start small and if it’s strong enough, I’ll move it to a bigger room if needed. 8oz candles rarely can scent a medium sized room but you never know, I have come across a few that have and when I do, that’s a winner!
This candle gave a decent scent throw for it’s size and burned beautifully. It started out a little tunnely but it righted itself and burned clean and true. No mushrooming either, I love those.
How Did My Enchanted Meadow Candles Burn?
My candles burned decent. I had a little bit of trouble in the beginning where I thought they were tunneling but they right themselves and burn fine. No smoke or soot with my wicks trimmed.
Closing to my review:
I enjoyed this candle line and would definitely try more in the future. If you decide to try Enchanted Meadow, keep in mind that their smaller candles are definitely more suited to smaller rooms. Although I personally prefer bigger candles, I do buy small ones on occasion since I like burning candles in my bathrooms, especially when guests come over. Keep in mind, I normally wouldn’t burn luxury brands in my bathrooms because of the expense but these candles are pretty reasonably priced. This line was incredible in my bathrooms and I received many compliments the days I had these candles burning.
I can’t close this review without mentioning Freshbet.com again, the company where I ordered my Enchanted Meadows candles. They offer an extensive variety of candles from Claire Burke to Kathy Ireland and many other unique candle companies that I plan on checking out and reviewing in the future.
This looks like a great website for those of you who like one stop shopping stores too. They carry not only candles but an extensive bath and body line and various other unique home fragrance accessories. I did find this website a little confusing to navigate through but it’s doable and worth it considering the great sales they offer. Another bonus are great shipping deals as well as free shipping on orders over $100.00. Shipping breaks are always a nice incentive.
Shipping is fast and customer service is top notch. Definitely give this site a try.
Happy candle shopping!
