Fragrance: Geranium & Grapefruit
Scent Strength: Medium/light in a small room
First impression of Geranium & Grapefruit:
Geranium & Grapefruit was an interesting scent and I didn’t know what to make of it at first. The candle itself was a lovely gray vessel with a matching oval label. The wax a creamy white with a perfectly centered cotton wick.
I couldn’t find a scent description for this fragrance which was disappointing but alas, I don’t have one so I’ll do my best to describe this scent for you.
First impression…. Floral. This scent smelled like 100% Geranium and something else I couldn’t quite pinpoint. That disappointed me since I was hoping for more grapefruit in the mix to tone down the floral. Just smelling it cold, that didn’t happen. But, you never know… the citrus component could come out once the candle was burning.
Time to find out!
I lit this candle in my small powder room and am so glad I did because the fragrance was perfect in a small room. The aroma… a very fresh and interesting floral which smelled pretty identical to what I picked up on in the beginning. It was geranium all the way but I did start noticing hints of grapefruit along with fresh green notes as well. The overall scent was very vibrant and uplifting. Imagine that! I started this review with the mindset I wasn’t going to like it and ended up really enjoying every part of this fragrance. Go figure.
So what exactly did Geranium Grapefruit smell like you ask? Well, I’ve never smelled an actual geranium before but this fragrance sure smelled pretty realistic…. like freshly cut flowers along with notes of the green stems with hints of grapefruit. That’s how I would describe it. It was very different and unique.
Strength – this was another light one. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 6 in a very small room. So, I wouldn’t even attempt burning this candle in anything larger.
This candle burned great. No wick issues. Clean burning from start to finish. A+
Closing to my review:
Geranium & Grapefruit was quite the enjoyable floral scent. I can’t believe I’m saying that but I am. It smelled very authentic. Like freshly cut flowers with notes of the green stems. It was very different and unique and I really liked it.
