Introduction to my Ceraballa candle Review:
I absolutely adore discovering new to me candle companies, especially when it happens to be a luxury brand. Fast forward to my latest candle find… Cerabella candles.
This brand literally took my breath away. My first awe moment… when I discovered they were located in Barcelona Spain, a place I have dreamed of visiting someday. Sigh!! Well, while that won’t be happening anytime soon with two teenage boys at home, I at least get to experience Barcelona from afar, even if it’s only through scented candles.
Are you curious yet? Here is little inside story behind Cerabella I pulled from their website:
Cerabella’s story began when a lady from the 19th century left her mountain homeland to try the challenges of the city. Francesca Abella started a tiny candles workshop in the Plaça del Pedró in a Barcelona popular neighborhood known as el Raval. Those were times when wax was bleached under the Mediterranean sun to make the candles that would light up darkness in the end of the day.
But then the world became electric and the candle making concept had to be revised. This is the Carabella journey… a 5 generation commitment to quality and innovation to turn an ancestral illumination method into a continuous creation of scents, colors and shapes. With their 150 years of research and evolving, their aim is to preserve a unique craftsmanship that involves love and creativity.
Cerabella’s website is (as I would expect from any luxury brand) professionally designed and easy to navigate.
The only section I had a hard time with was viewing their full catalog since you can’t click on an individual scent… you basically look at their products through catalog pages. It might be a bit confusing at first but you can still see everything they have to offer and oh my goodness do they have a wide variety of candles to choose from. It’s almost endless and as a candle lover… mouthwatering.
Looking at all their candles, I had a hard time choosing what to review but ended up with three unique scents. Amber & Olibanum, Sugar & Apple Pie and Geranium & Grapefruit. Three very different scents but all equally amazing. I was SO excited to experience these candles.
Before I move onto the candles themselves, I want to highlight my favorite page on their website… their handmade page. This page shows rows upon rows of different pictures of hands and when you hover your mouse over each picture, a name is highlighted. These are the candle makers that make all of Cerabella candles. You don’t see a face, you see their hands. What a cool way to showcase all their talented candle makers. I loved that.
Okay, now it’s finally time to start reviewing. I have three candle to review and each fragrance will be housed on their own page for easier reference. Links below.
