K Brand Candles is an online country store that sells hand made soy blended candles. I counted 44 fragrances total on the menu with 2 candle sizes. I do believe more sizes will soon be available for purchase but so far, there is a 6oz jelly jar or a 9oz hex jar available.

I wanted to share with you that I let K Brands send me fragrances of their choice rather than choosing myself. Big step folks, because I'm picky and I never know what I'm gonna get this way, although it is fun to be surprised sometimes. I was sent 3 candles. Jack Frost, Rum Raisin and Hansel & Gretel to review. Two were bakery type scents and the other was a delectable peppermint confection that's always a nice winter fragrance.

What Do My Candles from K Brand Candles Look Like?

Two of my candles are 9 oz hex jars. Pretty standard with gold lids. Jack Frost is white in color, Rum Raisin is off white as well as Hansel & Gretel. Hansel & Gretel was a 3 or 4 oz jar (the size wasn't specified anywhere on the jar so I'm guessing).

How Did My Candles from K Brand Candles Smell?

Jack Frost was my favorite of the 3 but I confess only because I have a thing for peppermint. This was a pretty good rendition. Nice and smooth just like a York Peppermint Patty, YUM!! I've always loved walking into a room where I have a peppermint candle burning because the air is crisp and cool and it feels so good to breathe in. It's a great winter scent for me and one I burn for months, especially during cold season when noses get stuffy. Peppermint fans, this was pretty good. I would burn it again.

Rum Raisin is a fragrance I wouldn't have picked myself but it was pretty good. When I first opened this candle, a friend of mine was with me and he really liked this scent. He said it smelled just like Krispy Kreme donuts. Did it? I personally didn't think it smelled like donuts at all but that just confirms every nose smells each scent a little different than the next. I thought it smelled like a cake baking in the oven or a really sweet Danish. It was definitely of "bakery" nature and gave a great scent throw.

The scent description for this scent is:

"Rum Raisin: Raisins, rum, mixed with vanilla and cinnamon. Strong Scent."

I could make out everything in the above ingredients with the exception of raisins but that's only because raisins aren't exactly in my expertise. It's a very sweet scent and if I'm being honest, a little too sweet for me. That's not a bad thing, it's just my personal taste. You on the other hand, and I'm talking to you bakery scent lovers out there would probably like this fragrance a lot. It's sweet, thick and warm with an excellent scent throw.

I liked this one.  I would call the strength on the softer side of bakery scents which suited me just fine. Some bakery scents are just too strong and thick for me and I have a hard time enjoying them. This one seemed perfect as far as thickness goes if that makes sense.  The scent description on K Brands website is:

"Hansel & Gretel: Very strong maple gingerbread."

I would say I definitely smell both maple and gingerbread. The maple did sweeten it up a bit so for those of you who have a sweet tooth for gingerbread but on the sweeter side, you would like this fragrance. The candle sent to me was pretty small, I think 3 or 4 ounces so it was hard to get a better sense of scent throw with such a small candle. I did burn it in my bigger bathroom and it seemed to fragrance the room pretty good so I'm sure a larger size would give a much better scent throw.

My candle burned evenly & completely to the bottom with no waste. Just keep your wicks trimmed.

All in all, I had a good experience with this company. My questions were answered fast and my candles shipped quickly. I can't vouch for their other 41 fragrances but the 3 I tried burned great and gave a decent scent throw. I say they're worth a go if you want to try this company out.

My only suggestion to this company would be to offer more candle sizes as well as tart melts. I know I like to purchase melts to try lots of fragrances and once I find fragrances I like, I usually always go back for bigger jars. It's just a great way to try new companies out as I'm sure a lot of you do, just like me. Shipping charges seem reasonable and it's free shipping after $75.00 which I can usually manage to rack up in a short time (smile). What can I say, I'm addicted.
