My latest candle experience is an Ergo candle in the flavor Tangerine. Ergo is a luxury brand and although I usually stay clear of those because of the price… I'm starting to venture further into that "luxury"realm now that I review for Candlefind. This is actually a good experience for me because I get to experiment with "luxury" brands vs. the regular "Joes" out there.

Is luxury better?  I think the answer to that is a personal choice. In my opinion, just because a candle say's "luxury" doesn't necessarily mean it's better. One of my favorite quotes is from a wise fictitious Mom from the past,  "Life is like a box of chocolates Forrest, you never know what you're gonna get." I think the same philosophy applies to candles.  There are plenty of duds out there, even expensive ones. But there are plenty of good ones too.

With so many luxury brands to choose from, it can be really confusing deciding what to order.  Ergo is one of many brands but after trying this candle, I definitely think they're one of the better.  I loved my Tangerine candle and look forward to trying different Ergo fragrances in the future.  If you're going to take the plunge and buy some luxury candle,¦ there are plenty of online stores to help you on your way. The best sites are ones that carry many different brands giving you a wider selection. How Did My Tangerine Candle Smell?

When I first sniffed my candle, I thought it smelled more like grapefruit than a tangerine.  I never trust my noses opinion alone so I asked a friend of mine who is also a candle addict what she thought of it, not telling her what the fragrance was, and she said grapefruit... how very interesting.  So, more confused than ever, I lit my candle and after letting it burn for an entire day, I was still unsure if I was smelling tangerine or grapefruit so I decided to ask my husbands opinion. He agreed that the fragrance smelled just like a grapefruit.  He even went so far as to say it was the most authentic grapefruit candle of mine he's ever smelled and that he really liked it.  Hmmmmm?

I've burned this candle for two days straight now and I've decided that figuring out what I'm smelling doesn't really matter because I really-really like it.  The fragrance is very citrusy and to me, smelled very authentic, just like putting your nose up to a juicy grapefruit, sorry Ergo but it smells like a grapefruit.  It had that citrus bite to it I'm always after in any citrus candle I purchase so I was really impressed. The scent is very fresh and strong, fragrancing my entire bedroom & adjoining bathroom so it definitely gives a great throw. Citrus fans, you would like this one as it is very fresh & zesty.

My candle burned clean with no soot. A tiny bit of wax residue was left along the glass wall but not much.

Overall Opinion of My Tangerine Ergo Candle:

I enjoyed my Tangerine candle and I'm sure Ergo has plenty of other fragrances I would enjoy as much. I will definitely be trying more in the future but unfortunately for me, I can't buy them as often and in the quantity as I would like. A candle that has "luxury" tied to it usually means "expensive" is attached right along with it. I'm such a candle nut that I'd go broke in no time so, whoa is me… I have to limit myself. You on the other hand probably are not as bad so definitely give this brand a try if you have the spare change.  They're great candles and definitely of good quality. They burn clean and give a great scent throw.
