You don't need to be a physic to know this was my favorite of the bunch. Lemon Pucker, HELLO!! I love any kind of lemon scent! I've tried a few lemon puckers and all of them, including this one don't really smell like a true lemon to me but even so, they're still really good. I think it's pretty hard to get a true to the fruit lemon fragrance in a candle so I'm still on the ultimate lemon search. In the meantime, I'll keep burning these yummy and tangy versions I do enjoy very much.
The scent throw on this candle is pretty good. I started noticing the fragrance minutes after lighting it and once lit, the fragrance is everywhere and very wonderful. I enjoyed this candle to the very end.
Pear Tart:
This candle was very different and had a nice tart/fruity bite to it. When I first smelled it, I could smell pear but with a sour element that I really liked. Right away, I knew I would like this fragrance.
Once I lit my candle, it took awhile before I began to notice it, I'd say maybe an hour. The scent throw was lighter than I thought it would be so I'm guessing this scent is naturally on the softer side. Maybe a bigger candle would give a stronger throw but I'm not sure. Although the scent throw was light, the fragrance itself is really nice, I like pear scents and until now, have never come across one other than sweet/ripe pear fragrances so this was such a nice change. Pear Tart is exactly that, a tart pear and very refreshing. It reminded me of a piece of sour candy and I could easily see myself burning this in the summer! I'd say if you like pear scents and want something different, definitely give this one a try.
How Did My Candles from Cottage Hill Creations Burn?
My candles burned pretty good. I did have some problems with the wicks but nothing major. It was weird but the wicks on all 4 candles were droopy. Once they reached a certain height, they drooped over like a wilted flower. It never affected the candle performance but I had never experienced that before. My candles did burn clean, no soot or smoke.
Overall Opinion of My Candles and Cottage Hill Creations:
I enjoyed my candles from Cottage Hill Creations and wouldn't mind trying more in the future given the chance. I think next time I'll try bigger jars though. They have a nice scent selection and their prices are pretty reasonable. They also offer free shipping when you reach a certain price point. We love that don't we Candlefinders?! I know I do. HELLO, the way we shop, every little bit helps.
