My latest "candle-find" is from a company called Aunt Becky's Candle Shoppe. They sell many different size jars in apothecary, tureen & hexagon styles just to name a few in well over 90 fragrances. I didn't have the pleasure this time around of ordering direct, instead I was sent a small candle to test burn in the fragrance Pina Colada and I was pleasantly surprised with the candle I received.

I did check out their website because when I find a candle I like, it's nice to know all the in and outs of the company, such as pricing, shipping, policies etc. All their products appear to be well laid out making it easy to navigate through. I love shopping on websites that have a huge selection because I personally prefer lots of choices and this site definitely has plenty. A large selection makes it more difficult deciding what to order but that's part of the fun. After trying this candle, I am definitely interested in what they have to offer because this candle was strong and smelled awesome.

How Did My Pina Colada Candle Smell?

I wouldn't say I'm a Pina Colada expert but I do enjoy an occasional one every now and then.  I live in warm desert climate so when it's hot outside, I love to burn tropical fragrances throughout my house. I'm also a great fan of sitting on my deck with a cold glass of wine after dinner, sipping a drink and enjoying my view.  With the heat of summer, I switch to icy blended drinks, Pina Colada being one of them.  It's a refreshing summertime treat and a fun fragrance to burn in your home as well.

I've been burning this candle non stop for three days now in my bedroom and to me, Coconut definitely dominates.  That's actually a good thing to me because, #1, I love the scent of coconut and #2, If this were a true Pina Colada, I really don't want my house smelling like alcohol anyway. :-)  I couldn't detect Pineapple but that doesn't mean it's not there, my nose just couldn't smell it.  The coconut is strong and sweet which I love and really freshened up my bedroom with its lively fragrance.

The scent throw on this candle was excellent and that tells me their bigger jars have got to be even better.  The fragrance filled my bedroom and bathroom AND filtered into my living area as well. I prefer candles that have strong scent throws and this little 9oz candle could have held it's own with bigger jars easy.  That's pretty impressive and my kind of candle!! Coconut fans, this is a good one.

Overall Opinion of My Candle and Aunt Becky's Candle Shoppe:

I enjoyed my Pina Colada candle.  Burning coconut fragrances always brightens my mood because it's such a summery and fun fragrance.  As a matter of fact, I burned my candle completely to the bottom so it's all gone.  The fragrance lasted throughout the candle so the quality seemed excellent.  If this candle gives any indication of what their other fragrances might be like, then I'm guessing they've got to be just as good.  I love strong candles and normally, smaller candles never seem to cut it in my house because all my rooms are huge and the fragrance gets lost. This one held its own quite well, I'm impressed.

I can't give an opinion yet on customer service because I haven't officially ordered from this company yet but what communications I've had so far have been great.  All my questions were answered right away and once I picked the fragrance I wanted to try, my candle shipped immediately.  This company does charge shipping but I learned that they offer price breaks with candle specials to offset the cost of shipping.  I think this company is definitely worth trying and I do recommend them.
