Pure Integrity candles are a favorite of mine and a company I do highly recommend. For those of you who prefer 100% soy and like scent throws that will knock your socks off, these candles have your name written all over them. One feature I love about this company is they're now rating their scents from light to strong so you know exactly what you're buying. As a huge online candle shopper, I absolutely love and appreciate that.

My latest Pure Integrity experience is their Mulberry scent which is one of my all time favorite scents to burn in the winter. It's fruity, tart, sweet and always seems to fulfill that fruity craving I get during the cold months and at the same time... it's a great winter scent too for some reason. Go figure.

I have to admit, I was a little "iffy" on this scent when I first sniffed it. I absolutely love the fragrance of Mulberry. It's a tart fruity berry scent that smells so wonderful to me and always puts a smile on my face when I smell it throughout my house. To me, most of the Mulberry candles I've burned in the past smell more like candy or a powdered punch drink than anything else. I like that and have to admit, that's what I'm used to. This candle didn't smell like that at all to me. Here is the scent description from Pure Integrity's site:

"A wonderfully juicy fragrance of plump ripe mulberries. A favorite English sweet, fruity scent. Great for Holidays and year round! Bright and refreshing."

I lit my candle in my great-room early evening. The scent became noticeable right away and around 30 minutes later, I could smell the fragrance everywhere. So, I will say the scent throw is strong and consistent as with all the candles I've tried from this company. I can't figure out though if I like this scent or not. I don't know if that's ever happened to any of you but this one is fitting that category for me. I don't dislike it, I just can't quite make up my mind what I think.

I guess I can cry "creature of habit" and say Pure Integrity's version is not the Mulberry I'm used to. The ones I know of smell more like that tart candy scent I like. Instead, I thought this version smelled like an actual piece of fruit... like maybe slicing a real Mulberry open and smelling it. Pure Integrity has been so right on with most of their fragrances so maybe they hit the nail on this one too. I don't know but I think that's a good of a guess as any so I'm sticking with it.

My candle burned perfect. No wasted wax, no soot or smoke.

Overall Opinion of My Mulberry Candle from Pure Integrity:

That old saying, "you win some, you lose some" is applying to my experience with this fragrance. I didn't dislike it but it's not going to be a favorite of mine in the Pure Integrity menu. T his fragrance was strong and definitely sweet and fruity, it just wasn't what I was expecting. This is absolutely a personal thing. You on the other hand may like it so take my thoughts on this scent with a grain of salt.

With that said, if you're a Mulberry freak and want to jump out of your safe zone box, give this one a try because it's totally out of the ordinary. This company puts out some beautiful fragrances that are so authentic and strong. You pretty much can't go wrong with anything you buy.

I also want to announce that Pure Integrity is now selling clamshell tarts!! Oh yeah tart lovers... MELTS!!!! I know I'm excited and happy and what a great way to test out their many wonderful scents.
