I had no idea what to expect with this fragrance, all I know is I picked it because I liked the name and wanted to try something different.  Here is the scent description for Serengeti Sunset:

"(An AromaSoy signature scent) This masculine, exotic fragrance starts out with refreshing and invigorating top notes of Lemon, Bergamot and Mandarin followed by a heart of  exotic Armoise Cardamom and Cinnamon Bud, then finished with a dry down of sensuous Musk, warm Vanilla and relaxing lavender.  This is one of my favorites!"

After reading that description, I couldn't help but think this scent was going to be interesting yet complicated. Honestly, when I first opened this candle to smell it, I wasn't sure if I was going to like it (it had a really weird smell to me, almost perfumy).  But, I never judge a candle by the first sniff because scents like that have a canny way of surprising me and I end up liking them. This one definitely fell in the "surprised me" category.  I liked this candle, I liked it a lot!!

I burned Serengeti Sunset in my bedroom and I must say, the scent throw on this sucker rocks!  It's very strong and boy does it travel because it was actually starting to over power the candles I had burning in my great-room. On a scale of 1 to 10 on strength, this one gets a 9+ easy.  And the best part, although it was strong, it wasn't overpowering where it was bothering me.  That can be a big factor with me and a problem I sometimes have with outdoor woodsy type scents.  It starts to affect my sinuses and eyes. This one didn't.

I keep going back to the scent description to see if I can make any of the ingredients out and honestly, I can't.  I don't smell lemon, bergamot or mandarin.  I don't know what Armoise Cardamom is either and I definitely don't smell lavender.  All I can say is this fragrance is unique and one of a kind.  When I smell it, I think of the outdoors in the fall and if I go with my first impression, I think it smells like burning leaves with a bit of other scents I can't quite pinpoint. Serengeti Sunset is such a fitting name for this fragrance because if I had to put a "sunset" in a candle, it would smell like this. I'll definitely burn this scent again.

Lemon Butter Snow Bars:

My nose has died and gone to heaven and it's name is Lemon Butter Snow Bars!  DUDE!  This scent kicks you know what! First of all, the name alone sold me and you know me and lemon scents.  I purposely saved burning this candle for last because every time I stuck my nose in it to take a whiff, I practically drooled.  I've been on the hunt for a warm and bakery type lemon scent forever and this one is so yummy and delicious, I think I've found it!  Here's the scent description for this fragrance:

"This one screams CITRUS!  Your mouth will be watering once you inhale the aroma of this refreshing, stimulating, taste tempting scent.  Lemony top notes intermingle with fresh creamery butter and moist white cake.  An absolute favorite! Very strong and top seller!"

Three words, this scent ROCKS!!  The lemon is very pronounced but intermingled with butter and white cake makes this scent mouth watering delicious.  I don't know about, this scent screams citrus because it's a definite bakery scent, it wasn't zesty at all to me.  I enjoyed every moment of burning this candle and found myself migrating toward my bedroom when I had it burning just so I could smell it all day.  The fragrance smells like warm lemon cake and I dare say with a tiny bit of spice because I swear at times I smelled cinnamon or something along those lines.  It was weird because the first few hours I had it burning, I didn't smell any spice and then later on in the evening, I did.  I thought I was imagining it and maybe I was, who knows?  All I know is, I was in Lemon Butter Snow Bar heaven.

Both my daughter and husband commented on this candle and let me tell you, I only get feedback if they like the scent or hate it.  They LOVED this one as much as I did.  The scent throw is very strong and boy was it wonderful. I could smell this candle loud and clear and it traveled pretty far, fragrancing my entire bedroom, open bathroom and went into my great-room as well.  That's my kind of Lemon/bakery candle.

Do I recommend this scent? Uh YES!!  LOL.

How Did My Candles from Aroma Soy by Grazia Burn?

All three of my candles burned wonderful.  No soot or smoke.  I loved the wicks on these candles.  They hardly mushroomed and I also didn't have to trim them that often.  I love that as it's easy to get sidetracked and it's one less thing to worry about.

Overall Opinion of Candles & Aroma Soy by Grazia:

I definitely recommend this company to you.  I think they're a rising star in the candle industry and it's going to be fun watching this company grow.  I loved my candles and think the detail applied to each candle is lovely and unique.  The overall appearance of these candles had a modern flair I found fun and hip down to the label and glitter in the melted wax.  I loved that.

I recently learned Aroma Soy by Grazia's candles were featured in the August Issue of "In Style Magazine".  In Style featured companies that contributed to the victims of hurricane Katrina and Aroma Soy by Grazia was one of the companies featured.  They have a hurricane Katrina candle where a portion of the proceeds go to the victims.  Kudos to you Grazia and congratulations.
