Fragrance: Bountiful Orchard
Scent Strength: Light
First impression of Bountiful Orchard:
So, I was in a Joann’s craft store to purchase some card making supplies and BOOM!! There was a display of country style candles that was basically screaming at me to buy them. Once I opened all the lids to smell each one, I was sold. They all smelled amazing!! They were all bakery oriented and totally my cup of tea. Add the inexpensive price tag and I walked away with a bunch of candles and no card making supplies. Go figure.
Looking at the label of the bottom of the candle, the manufacturer was DW Home. I had never heard of this brand but looking at their site, they carry a nice variety of fragrances with reasonable prices so I plan on trying more down the road. These mason jars I’m reviewing seem to be exclusive to Joann’s so not sure they were a close out or just a special. Whatever the reason, I’m thankful I was able to nab a few.
Up next… Bountiful Orchard. I don’t have a scent description to post with this review but you can guess what the main component is…. Apple!!
First impression… this candle didn’t smell like any apple scent I’m used to. To my nose, it smelled like sweet and sour apple candies. Very sweet and sugary with the perfect touch of sour… very much like sweet tart candies.
Time to see how this candle performs!
I lit this candle in a small powder room where it performed perfectly. The aroma was light so a small room was definitely the best room for optimal scent throw. Once lit, a full melt pool formed in 20 minutes and from then on out… the sweetest scent of sugary apples drifted through my bathroom. The aroma was sweet tarts all the way and I really enjoyed it. I just wish the strength would have been stronger.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this candle a 5 in a small room. I wouldn’t even attempt burning it in anything else if you want to enjoy the fragrance.
This candle burned like a dream. No issues. Clean and even burn from start to finish.
Closing to my review:
Bountiful Orchard was an apple scent I thoroughly enjoyed but then I’m partial to tart candy type fragrances. If you like those types of scents too, then I totally recommend this fragrance to you. Just keep in mind it was lightly scented.
I did find this candle at Joann’s craft store so I’m not sure what stock they have and in what stores. Every time I’ve gone in though, they always seem to have a small variety of scented candles so that’s a plus. You can always directly go to DW Home’s website too and see what scents they have.
Happy candle hunting!
