Ok, I'm done with my aromatherapy lesson....now back to my Bergamot Current candle. Before sniffing this candle for the first time, I really didn't know what to expect. I had no idea what a Bergamot was or what a Currant would smell like, so I gave it a whiff to find out. It had such a nice smell to it. I knew I liked it, I still had no idea what I was smelling though.
Searching for clarity, I looked for a description of the Bergamot Currant scent on AORCandles.com. Their site describes the Bergamot Currant candles as having a delightful citrus scent. Here's the more detailed description of this scented candle that I found on AORCandles.com:

This all sounded pretty good to me and I've always enjoyed citrusy candles so I lit my pillar and waited to see how the scent measured up to it's description.
After burning my Bergamot Currant candle for about 20 minutes, I started taking deep breaths of such a wonderful, but light scent that was filling my family room. It didn't take long for me to fall in love with this fragrance. Just as the official description says, this scent is VERY delightful. It reminded me of sitting by a bowl of beautiful, ripe, aromatic oranges. This fragrance truly smelled that real. It had a very pleasing, natural quality to it from the essential oils. I was excited because I found a new favorite aromatherapy candle!
Smelling citrus scented candles have always helped to lift my spirits and this candle was no exception. I burned this candle in the evening after a long day of chasing a new puppy around my house. I remember being so exhausted in body, mind and spirit that I just plopped myself down on the couch for some much needed R and R. After breathing in the Bergamot Currant scent for a while, I did notice a growing feeling of rejuvenation in my mind and spirit. Believe me, I still needed a long night sleep to fully recover, but the candle did help me a little. If you feel your spirit needs a bit of a boost, I definitely recommend you try this scented candle.
In addition to the fragrance of this pillar, I really liked the way it burned. The wax did not burn all the way to the side edges of the candle. This is a tunneling candle when it burns, but it wasn't a negative for me. It actually created a nice glowing hurricane candle effect. I was happy to see the sides of the candle stay intact because this way, I didn't have ANY wax dripping on my nice candle holder. This was a plus for me because I don't like to clean up the mess that some drippy candles can leave behind.
After finally trying a candle from Aromatherapy of Rome, I can honestly say I like them...at least their pillars. I definitely recommend them to those of you who like candles with light, fresh scents. However, if you're into powerful scents that totally blow you away, these candles are not for you. The candles are modern looking with an understated elegance. From this experience, I would not hesitate to try other scented candles from Aromatherapy of Rome.
