Banana Nut Bread – Yumlicious Melt Review
by Ann Frati
Size: 3 oz clamshell-style wax melt, soy
Scent Strength: Strong
Longevity: Better than average
Introduction to my review:
My Yumlicious melts have been truly “yum” and “delicious!” The label on the melt says, “decadent treats for your senses,” which is true in several ways. These are appealing from a visual and scent perspective. These bakery scents ruly make my mouth water!
Appearance: These melts are packaged in a typical 6-melt clear plastic clamshell container. The dark yellow sticker on the front shows the quotation above, just under the company name. Below that, the name of the scent is on an orange banner. There is warning information below that. The wax itself is creamy white and of medium texture: neither hard nor very soft. Overall, a straightforward, no-frills, elegant appearance.
Let’s start with the scent description:
“The mouth-watering aroma of oven fresh banana bread. This delicious combination of walnuts, ripe banana, vanilla, and a touch of spice is sure to spark your appetite. Infused with natural essential oils, including cinnamon and clove.”
Banana bakery scents are usually strong, and this one was no exception. Super-yum!!
Seriously, smelling this was like a loaf of banana nut bread baking in the oven.
I burn/melt bakery scents close to or in my kitchen, and it smelled so realistic, you would have thought I was baking the real loaf of banana nut bread. Very strong, too! Most of these types are so I wasn’t surprised, but the combination of the great scent and the strength made this one mouthwatering.
How did this melt perform?
This melt performed well. A great throw along with longevity makes this another Yumlicious must-have. It lasted almost 2 days, though it was lighter on the second day. Definitely better than average longevity.
Melt Performance: 4.5
Overall Rating: 4.5
