First impression of Black Pepper Rosemary:
Black Pepper Rosemary is a limited addition scent I picked up at Walmart on a spur of the moment purchase. It’s not normally a scent I gravitate towards but figured, what the heck. I like trying ScentSationals limited addition scents and this one kind of sounded interesting.
First impression… the wax kind of smelled masculine, very much like a mans cologne.
Melting:
I couldn’t find a scent description for this fragrance but just from the name alone, you get the gist of what it’s supposed to be. Herbal rosemary and black pepper. Only when I smell the wax, I don’t smell either. Rosemary is pretty distinctive. So it black pepper and this scent smelled like neither one. What my nose picked up on was all masculine like I imagine a fresh soap would smell. But, scents can change once melting so let’s find out!
I used the entire clamshell pack (3 cubes each) in 2 electric melters. Once melting, it took about 10 minutes for the fragrance to make itself known and once it did…. a fresh masculine aroma filled my great room. No rosemary, no black pepper. This scent smelled just as it did when I first smelled the wax… a masculine soap or cologne. I liked it but it wasn’t what I was expecting.
Strength – on a scale of 1 to 10, I would rate this scent a 9 in a large room. It was pretty strong but not so overpowering that it might bother you. I was pretty happy with the overall strength.
In closing, I would recommend this scent to those who love fresh masculine scents because that’s what it was.
Happy melting!
